Museums are like houses of reminders about our history and culture, and so when tourists and locals walked into the Yuchengco Museum for the first time in September 2005, they were all in awe as they scrutinized the exhibition of different masterpieces by cultivating Filipino artists, though that wasn’t the only feature of the museum. It showcased the excellent artistic minds of the Chinese-Filipinos through their paintings and crafts. They also provided innovating and interactive for the visitors (targeting the modern generation of man) of the museum with the ability to watch how certain paintings were created. While this museum was meant to be viewed, it was also meant to be the home of Alfonso’s art collection, the namesake of the museum and the creator of the Yuchengco Group of Companies. And because of his vast contributions to the Philippines, the museum devoted an exhibit that tells the story of Alfonso Yuchengco’s journey as an entrepreneur to an experienced and highly regarded diplomat.

He was featured in numerous news clippings too from Manila Bulletin until Japan Times about his world-class projects and how his firm committed to developing Asia and beyond. He had statues and portraits of himself (including his wife), mostly painted with oil on canvas and intricate details.
