Students that are in school during the summer find it harder to concentrate on the work that they are doing in school because they are waiting to get out of school into the nice weather. Year round schools make it difficult to learn with many breaks that they are given which can affect them negatively in and out of school. Year round schools should give long breaks instead of many little breaks because it is shown that there is no difference in learning between year round schools and traditional schools. During 2011-2012 about 3,700 schools were all year round schools and these schools didn’t benefit students and teachers in all good ways. In 2007, a study by Ohio State University found that there is no learning differences between a year round school schedule and a traditional school schedule.
Traditional school schedules have kids in school from late summer until late spring, the year-round schedule has kids in school all year but the difference is there are longer breaks in the year-round schedule. It is time to switch from the traditional schedule to the year-round schedule because students learn better and don’t lose information over a long summer break, is more convenient for everyone and reduces the stress of school and makes it more enjoyable. To begin students under the current school schedule where there is one long break in the summer are more vulnerable to losing the information they have learned the past year. Summer break causes students to forget material that they have learned which causes problems because it wastes
70% percent of students use phones, tablets, or play video games before school. Also people wouldn’t be able to finish their homework after school they would have to wait till the morning and try to rush to get it done. It would be much easier if we just left the time how it is. Kids grades would drop grades and everything would be done at last second. Less kids would be passing grades.
Lowered motivation creates low performance, which discourages the students even more. When there is no encouragement, the teenagers often don’t show up to school. The lack of effort correlates to teachers because it could dispirit them from doing work they want to assign in class. Changing to a four day school week can give additional benefits to all parties involved including students, teachers, and the school settings. If a four-day school week was implemented in American school districts, the performance plus achievement for students will increase along with a higher attendance.
Introduction I don't think student like having a year round school year schedule for one because there summer is cut short and that is not good and i know student don't like that there summer is cut short .Also i don't think that teachers would like to spend their summer at school with student because of there having to go to school because of the school schedule and they can't spend time with their family and friend like they want to because of there year round schedule .That's why schools shouldn't be year round but people have there own opinions . That most people today are still wanting schools to be year round but some are not still not wanting schools to be year round. What the other side says; yeah but paragraph.some people think that making schools year round would be a bad idea. For example like from districts and schools that have implemented it and those that have abandoned it, as well as through studies of participants'
No Year-Round School No Year-Round School Mrs. Shackelford By: Keira L. Opinion Writing #2 In my opinion, I think should be no year-round school. Do you think there should be year-round school? If you don’t you better listen because here are some reasons why I think that. Some parents think year-round is not good for some of their children because they at least need a No school days otherwise than longer breaks. Some of the parents question how the school year continues but they have longer breaks and don’t have any no school days.
“Students sometimes just cram the material instead of understanding the concepts thus affecting long term understanding of concepts” (Kumar). Another reason studying is inefficient is procrastination. When you procrastinate you’re not retaining much information needed to study. You don’t leave yourself much time to study, A survey conducted at Rajdhani Colleges shows, “Decline in average time spent by a college student in self study per week… majority of students spend less than 10 hours per week for self study” (Kumar). Just simply choosing the wrong environment impacts your studying abilities.
Because the session that the teacher taught is already in the student's head. The year around schools is also better for students increase into get into collages. There is also some cons of going to a year around school for students and parents. It's hard for parents. Because parents will need to find a babysitter and paying large amount of money.Hard for students to interact with their because they are maybe gone all day or half of the day. Researchers indicates that summer break is a lose on activated brain cells and loss of education .
Randy’s guardians are not giving Randy enough attention, direction, discipline, and how to treat others. This lack of discipline could be from not enough time being spent with the child during the days and so just giving into whatever they want to please them. Randy goes from school in the morning to child care right after school until 6pm everyday. Children whose parents show uninvolved parenting styles are the worst off. Their parents lack of involvement disrupts their emotional development considerably, leading them to feel unloved and emotionally detached and impedes their cognitive development as well (Feldman
The argument against homework is that it is unhelpful, leads to increased amounts stress in students, and inflicts negative effects on their academic ability and performance. These are critical criticisms of homework, however, they fail to see the negatives are only caused by unnecessary amounts of homework and also fail to realize the major benefits homework offers to students. Homework has been apart of our society and our school system for countless decades,
Year round schooling has been going on in most arguments about whether it is going to improve student learning. With 34 countries in the world, US has the least amount of school days in a year. Most people may say that an year-round school can give nothing other than stress to students, but there are some positive effects to it. Most educators and school boards claim repeatedly that learning loss would be eliminated from shorter breaks in a school round
