Yearbook Persuasive Speech

The National Honors Society is an organization consisting of outstanding students across the nation, and I am truly honored to be considered to join. Not only does this organization push students to succeed academically, but it also allows them to build character by taking part in their communities through leadership roles and service. With this, I would take advantage of all the opportunities the society presented me to build my own character even further. In my years of high school, I have shown that I am qualified to join the society based on my performance in academics, character, leadership and service. Throughout my years, I have been able to maintain a GPA at a 4.0, while also balancing my time with sports, clubs and a job.

Dr. Cheryl Steele--A "Goddess" of Teaching In previous articles, I’ve written about the importance of connecting with teenagers long after they have been ‘officially’ yours. Perhaps they were in your charge when they were in middle school or junior high, and now, they are in senior high, they have graduated high school, or maybe have gone on to graduate college, get married and have children of their own. Regardless of any of those landmarks (as significant as they may be), still recognizing your kids from when they were early teenagers can be extremely empowering to them. I was blessed enough to have a PERFECT example of such an adult who was one of my mentors in my early adolescence.

She said that it was "really fun," and that she looked forward to it every spring semester.   katie Osinde said "It was one of the best parts of my college experience because it gave me plenty of opportunities to meet new people and make friends that I still regularly keep in contact with.   I really can 't stress how important that time was for me as not only as a student, but also as a person." In regards to the importance of Black History Month, Junior Osinde said "It 's a really cool thing that we as a nation are able to celebrate together.   Everyone can learn something from it and everyone can grow closer from it too.

Being exposed to these different types of people has prepared me for relations with people unlike me in the future. I believe that my experiences with those of different cultures will lead me to be a successful cadet at the Academy. When my family moved to a post in the year of 2011, my environment drastically changed. The military post of West Point introduced me to new friends of many religions, races and cultures. My fellow sixth graders taught me that everyone was unique and that every culture was special.

To All HR Employees: Thanksgiving is a time for joy and good cheer and during this month of gratitude, I have been reflecting on the things I am most grateful for. Primary among them is our talented group of employees. Without your commitment, creativity, and high standards, we would not be where we are today and I am very appreciative for your efforts. Thank you for the work you do to make HR great. I wish you a Thanksgiving filled with abundance and bright moments.

This scholarship is a wonderful opportunity for students of GVSU, and I am honored to be considered for this scholarship. I believe that I am a great applicant for this scholarship, and that I deserve this scholarship. One reason I deserve this scholarship is because of my strong academic courses. Throughout my high school career, I pushed myself academically by taking a total of 10 AP classes and 7 honors classes. These classes were all challenging, yet I pushed through with determination to complete the classes to the best of my ability.

Furthermore, I have a heart of working overseas in the future and I am considering doing my field placement in Uganda. I have a passion for working with children in my future career. I have been a camp counselor the past two summers and it has provided me an opportunity to further my leadership abilities. Therefore, other leadership positions I have had was being a freshman connection mentor, leader for the children’s ministry at college church, junior high mentor for Youth for Christ, leader for the WRL council, and many others. I believe this semester I have balanced my school work, friends, family, and other things as well

“And the winners of the Tuttle Middle School American Legion Awards for 2011 are Alyssa Yund and Justin Raters” announced the assistant principal at the time, Rex Ryker, in a congratulatory tone. I have never been more grateful and proud of an accomplishment in my life until this one. Scoring high on exams, making the high honor roll, and earning awards for my academics over the years have been satisfactory accomplishments on my behalf, but earning this award seemed the most important accomplishment to me. This accomplishment marked a significant transition between my childhood and adulthood within my culture. Most importantly, this award taught me life lessons that have shaped me into the individual that I am today and that will endure with me eternally.

Becoming part of the school’s National Honor Society proves to me that all the years of struggle, determination, and hard work has definitely paid off. In addition to becoming a member of my school’s NHS, I was also elected as President of the French Honor Society, received 6 Silver Honor Roles certificates since 8th grade, and was also given the “Best Student” award in IB Business HL. To me, all of these achievements portray my growth since my struggles in middle school. Developing myself and seeing positive results is one of the best feelings in the world - it made me realize how effective and powerful it is to really desire

My yearbook experience was pretty great. I thought it was just gonna be getting pictures and putting them in a yearbook, but at some time I wanted to actually put feeling into the yearbook, I started putting quotes and inspirational paragraphs because I wanted to make the yearbook good, My first year so they’ll want me to do it again. Also, I think I did a pretty good job on my work. I made things that you would look at and actually relate to so everyone will feel special I did everything I could to make this yearbook a little emotional it can make you happy or sad. I will expect to see at least one person ecstatic with our efforts of making a perfect yearbook, I will expect to see at least one person to love my page, Also I will expect to see someone who doesn’t talk to start being more of a talker, I know it’s a long shot

I am extremely honored to be eligible for this opportunity to apply for the National Honor Society. Becoming a member of the National Honor Society has been a goal I set for myself since I was a student in middle school. I have been greatly looking forward to this moment for a very long time. Overall, I have worked incredibly hard these last two years to display a positive character and obtain qualities such as leadership, responsibility, and scholarship. I strongly believe I will be a productive and reliable member of the National Honor Society at Harvard H. Ellis Technical High School.

Good morning, I welcome you all here today to the 2015 Science National Honor Society Induction Ceremony. I am honored to been asked to speak and to celebrate this wonderful occasion. I would like to congratulate to the students for being honored today for your achievements in leadership, community service, scholarship, character and your enthusiasm on science which are shown through hardwork and dedication that each of you has displayed. I would also like to congratulate to the parents and families for showing unconditional support, motivation, encouragement and love on these remarkable young people which is why they are here today and continue this way in order to lead them to the path of success. I am deeply honored to be given the opportunity to join the National Honor Society and be among some of the most exceptional students in our school. Being given this opportunity shows my family and myself that I’ve truly worked as hard as I can to succeed. Growing up around adults with a good work ethic has taught me to see the reality in life. Working hard will help create a better future. I not only work hard in my classes but I also participate in sports which gives me the experience of being a leader.

He also said that joining the competition is a recognition to the school, students, and parents. About the Competition The Wright Middle School is already recognized as a powerhouse in the organization

Serving in this capacity she has exhibited great drive, developing and administering a bevy of initiatives such as the SMARTS faculty/ staff mentoring program, Project Finish Line, and Early Alert Intervention. Her efforts have yielded positive results such as a nearly 90% fall-to-spring mentee persistence rate with the SMARTS program and the reclamation and graduation of several students via Project Finish Line. Cynthia Calhoun’s presence is a fixture at the Student Welcome Center which assists thousands of students as they are attempting to navigate through the uncertainties of a new term. On a personal note I have found Cynthia to be very cordial and compassionate.
