Younger kids should be able to get a job. A job is something very important to everyone. Most kids now, don’t have jobs. But the ones that do, get a better start to their working career and understand the valuable assets that come with a job. A job can teach you some valuable skills and some very important character traits. There are plenty of important things that a job can teach someone. A job can teach you how to manage your time, it can teach you the importance of teamwork and communication, and it can also teach you about customer service.

A job makes you money. Money gets you food, water, a place to stay, and all the other things you need. A job also teaches young kids how to work for what they want, instead of asking their parents for money.Steady work may foster the development of time management skills that serve young people well as they move into college, since most college students continue to work to support themselves and to pay tuition.(Latzko) Having a job teaches teenagers that to earn money they need to do hard work, such as cleaning toilets or tables, so they are more likely to be responsible with the money they get and to spend it on items they really want or need. Communication is a very important skill to have. Although children often start to learn to work with others in school and sports, a job can further teenagers' abilities to work as a team.
