The Z Community Foundation, which was organized in 1999, as the 501(c)(3) non-profit group of Zeta Zeta Zeta Chapter, Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc. The Z Community Foundation operates with a Board of Directors, which includes members of the Zeta Zeta Zeta Chapter and the (Denver) Amicae. The Z Community Foundation receives and distributes funds and grants that support the Chapter 's scholarship fund and community programs. The Z Community Foundation was established in 1999 to help improve the quality of life of citizens living in the Metro Denver area by providing community services and programs that focus on education, health awareness, youth, and elderly and social issues that impact the community as a whole. Kimberley Ehrlich is parent of a 2nd grader in the FOCUS program and is the co-chair. The FOCUS Board and parents feel that there was not a due process and the notice was submitted as a done deal. They would like to find a favorable outcome for all parties involved. They feel they have reached an impasse. They are requesting a stay of the phasing out of the program, reinstatement of the focus page on the district website, allowing the program to market and hold their mandatory information meeting on 2/18.

Gisselle Zepeda Mr. Lievre American Government Credit 5 Board of Education of Westside Community Schools Versus Mergens The Equal Access Act upheld by the Supreme Court in Board of Education v. Mergens, 1990, requires public secondary schools to allow access to religiously based student groups on the same basis as other student clubs. The school administration denied a group of students their right to create a Christian after school club. The students intended for their club to have just the same privileges and club meetings as all other after school clubs. The schools excuse being that it lacked faculty support which led to the school and district being sued by the students.
The immigration system is not something people think about every day, but it is a huge problem for the individuals coming to America. Many people want to come to America because of the opportunities, one being education. Immigrants may have the opportunity to come to America, but cannot afford to go to college to receive the education deserved. There needs to be an education plan provided to immigrants. This new program, called Sponsoring Hope, will provide immigrants with sponsors who pay for them to attend school.
The Terry Fox Foundation (TFF) is an organization founded in 1980 after Terry Fox, a 20-year old patient with bone cancer, ran his Marathon of Hope 5300 km across Canada to raise awareness and money for cancer research. Terry ran “simply to remind Canadians of the importance of finding a cure” (The Terry Fox Foundation ) The TFF holds an annual run in Terry’s name to fundraise for cancer research and bring the visions/values of their organization to life. The TFF believes it is important to tell Terry’s story, and show how one hard working Canadian can make a difference by standing up and doing what they believe in. Since 1980, the TFF has raised over $700 million in Terry’s name and has generously donated it all to cancer research.
Beta Sigma Fraternity, Incorporated, and made a difference in the world as a civil rights activist. Umzae Hosea Williams has shown the qualities to persevere through whatever is thrown his way. This great man of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Incorporated organized and held a dinner for homeless men and women for over 25 years. He connects with me, because of the impact he has made.
The only organization that maintains and follows the principles set forth by the 22 founders that started it all based on community service and scholarship. I am physically and mentally prepared to serve for a life time. I am confident in all that I commit myself
My intention is not to join this organization to step or because I like to party but, because I believe whole-heartedly in the values of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority Inc., scholarship, service, sisterhood and finer womanhood. I believe that through Zeta Phi Beta Inc. I will be able to fine tune my leadership skills, make lifelong friendships and help people on my journey as others did for me. It is my hope that this lifestyle will change my life for the better.
Who are they? I asked several people and no one knew much except that they were a civilian volunteer group that helped the American military during WWII. It hadn’t occurred to me that they are a current, viable, active organization. They do exist!

I would like to congratulate the Woodson Foundation, the schools district, and the NCPIE for attempting to address this problem in the Washington, D.C school district. This is a very important issue and need the upmost effort put forward. This group is past the first stage which is forming stage, the purpose of the group has been established. In this respect the group should know this and not revisit the purpose of the task they agreed to take on.
