Zurich Airport (ZRH) also known as Kloten Airport is the largest international airport in Switzerland and the main hub for the national airline Swiss International AirLines. ZRH located in the district of Kloten, 12 kilometers from the city center of Zurich.

Getting from Zurich airport to the city center is very easy. In fact, the cheapest, fastest and the most convenient way is to take a train. There is the only disadvantage – it does run to the hotel's door. Travelers arriving at ZRH can find a station very simple. They just need to follow the signs for SBB. Tram 10 departs from the airport and to HaupBahnhof passing Universitätsspital, Milchbuck, and Sternen Oerlikon. Unlike the other options, tram allows driving through the whole city without any changes. It can be appreciated by travelers that booked a hotel in districts near Oerlikon.

Many routes of regular buses run from ZRH airport to city center of Zurich. A bus is a less preferred option compared to train, but it a good way to get to the city when trains do not operate. At Zurich airport, there are night buses running to the central station. All buses run from the covered bus terminal, which can be easily found by following the signs. Bus route 510 runs to Stadel bei Niederglatt every hour and the travel time is about 40 minutes. Bus #S511 takes passengers to Dielsdorf station passing Glattbrugg and Oberglatt. It departs three times a day during the weekdays. To get to Freienstein travelers should take buses #520 and #S520. Such trip will take about 20 minutes. Bus #731 runs from ZRH to Kloten every 30 minutes. Its' final stop is Kloten Buchhalden and the trip to it takes 11 minutes. Bus #732 will take passengers to Egeswill in 15 minutes. There are two bus routes #768 and #781 that go to Oerlikon Train Station every 10-30 minutes from the airport, but they have different routes. Bus #768 passes Werft, Kloten, Post and Oerlikon East Train station, while bus #781 runs to Oerlikon Train Station via Cher, Glattbrugg

Airport shuttle buses depart from the airport every 30 minutes. The price depends on the number of passengers and the destination. These buses run between 6.30 A.M. and 11 P.M. Passengers that prefer comfort can take a private van, sedan or SUV operated by many other airport shuttle companies such as Super Shuttle, Go-Go Shuttle, etc. They provide airport shuttle services 24 hours a day. Travelers can book the airport shuttles in advance and order additional services, such as meeting at the arrival area.

Zurich Airport Flight Terminals
At Zurich Airport, there are three terminals: A, B, E. All terminals are connected by airport transitions system. Walking distance between terminals is 15 minutes.

Terminal A
Terminal A is used for Schengen flights, including flights within Switzerland. Travelers should consider that it takes 20 minutes to go from the check-in counters to the gates A and B, and 25 minutes to gates E. Terminal A from Terminal E is quickly reachable by free airport shuttle train Skymetro.

Terminal B
Terminal B was re-opened in 2011 after an extensive three-year renovation. Flights to both Schengen countries and other destinations operated from Terminal B. To divide the flows gates are marked with B and D letters.
