BGSU vs. TU As scary as it can be, choosing a college is a huge life decision. The next 4 or 5 years of my life are basically determined by which college I choose. Not only will it determine how I live for the next few years, but also how I live for the rest of my life. I am currently trying to choose between attending Bowling Green State University or Tiffin University. As of right now, I am leaning toward picking Bowling Green over Tiffin because it is a better fit for me and my personality. One reason I’d like to attend BGSU is because it is pretty close to my house. I would really like to get away from home, but I’d like to know that if I ever needed to come home for any reason, it wouldn’t be all that difficult. I also want to meet new people, and BGSU has about 14,099 people (“Bowling Green State University”), while Tiffin University only has about 3,014 people (Tiffin University”). I am excited to live in a dorm, and if I do this I will have a better chance at …show more content…
It has good programs that I am interested in, even though some of them are selective, it will just give me more of a reason to work harder during my first year or so of college. The good thing about going to BG is that I have already been accepted, so I know for sure that I am in. Since I have not yet applied to Tiffin, I don’t want to have to worry about whether or not I’m actually going to get in. Many of the students that I know that have went to BGSU have came out successful, and I hope to see myself in that position someday. I only know a few people who went to BG to get a degree in Business Management, but the one that I know have been very successful, which gives me confidence that I can do the same thing. BGSU is also a decent amount cheaper, so that will make it a little easier for me in the future. No matter what I decide to do, I hope that I come out of college successful and happy, and that I don’t regret the decision that I

BGSU vs. Towson College is an important time in every child’s life and making the decision can be a life altering decision for some people. College can be a very massive step for some people, and making the right choice between two different colleges. Bowling Green State University and Towson University for me seem like the right fit. but some roles that are playing in my deciding choice are cost, closeness to home and the area.
My positive list was full. I really want to be at a thriving University that is growing and expanding technology. ASU offers an study abroad program, something I want to do. There’s clubs to go with your majors, athletic clubs, outdoor recreation, volunteer activities... the list in endless. ASU has strong majors that will help me be prepared for the future after college.
The beauty of the campus and close-knit community I observed was so welcoming and made me feel very comfortable. When touring the campus, the small class sizes and the fact that I wasn’t just a number to a professor was a big plus. Learning more about Jesuit aspect of the university was most impressive to me as I really admire how SCU prepares students with its three pillars of: competence, conscience, and compassion and motivates them to make a difference. I could already tell that this was the place in which not only students but professors and faculty would wholeheartedly support and guide me in pursuing my aspirations. Both my family and I knew that SCU was a home away from home which would: engage, prepare, and encourage me for my next leg of
I’m inspired by the fact that Sacred Heart University places a high value on expressing its Christian faith and traditions in practical ways in order to benefit the student commune, and to graduate individuals, capable of benefiting other communities. Furthermore, the university has worked hard to make its beliefs, faith, and standards relevant to students in the twentieth first century. With the impression that Sacred Heart University is committed to not only develop the intellectual abilities of its students, but also their social, spiritual, and personal growth, I’m confident that through implementing my past experiences and dynamic world view in this university, I can uphold the mission of this university. Having lived most of my life in different countries, I have met people from all walks of life.
The following is 3 different colleges that I have looked at in the past 2 years and are going to be the examples of what I think are great options for good universities to go to. Oregon State University The first college I have in mind for my future is OSU. Oregon State is a public school and funded by the government. OSU is a very well-rounded school in Corvallis Oregon which is only about ten minutes from here but about 50 minutes from my home in Dallas.
I was drawn to it originally because of its exciting location, dedication to service, strong computer science program, and relationship with Silicon Valley. These are the same things that are drawing me back to it. Its strong academics will maintain my record of a challenging course load, while a life in vibrant San Francisco will provide a very different environment than rural South Hadley. Its commitment to social justice and involved learning aligns with my own goals for education. I am particularly looking forward to joining the Foghorn newspaper, taking courses in comparative literature, and offering my assistance to the CS4SF program.
I am Julianna Jenkins an outgoing Musical Theater major with a dream to be an entertainment lawyer. I have been going to Appomattox Regional Governors School for 3 years as a Musical Theater Major. One of the reason I fell in love with Greensboro College is because it has a small community and that will give my an opportunity to grow. After meeting some of the Musical Theater students from freshman to senior they all said that they have gotten support from student and teachers at Greensboro. They also said that Greensboro is not a place that you will get lost in the crowd.
Ever since I was in the fourth grade, I have wanted to go UW Madison because I thought Bucky the Badger was cool. But now that I am older, I can see more to a school than just its mascot and I believe that UW Madison is the college I want to attend. I feel the most comfortable attending UW Madison than other universities for multiple reasons. I am currently in the Information Technology Academy (I.T.A) program and it is located in the Department of Computer Science. I have attended I.T.A two times a month in the past four years and have made many technology based projects, so I have been accustomed to UW Madison size.
The college has helped me in many ways not only with my education. One example of this is I have been able to work the whole time that I have been attending classes. This allowed me to save enough money that now when I transfer to NIU in January with my associates degree, I will be able to pay for it in full without taking out student loans. This was one of my fears be for going into college was that I was going to be in debt after. ECC has helped my accomplish at least two of my goals while I was here, get a good education and not have to take out a student loan.
The University of Colorado Boulder has one of the greatest campuses and great programs perfect for each student attending. Its diverse community brings student to want to apply to this college. The reason why CU Boulder is a great school is all the people in it, they are all part of the CU Boulder family, the staff, its students all play a part in making the school a great option for new incoming students. That is what I saw when I went to visit the campus and researched. The family of CU Boulder was something I wanted to be a part of.
True Ivy or the “non-Ivy” Ivy The choices and decisions that one must make throughout their life have the potential to affect later points in their life. This being said, it’s even scarier to think about when you are only eighteen years old and deciding on a college that will completely shape the rest of life. When thinking about a college to attend for at least the next four years, many things need to be discussed and taken into consideration.
Is It Worth It? Deciding which college to choose had to be the most stressful decision I could have ever made. I had so many things to put into consideration. I was beyond ready to depart from home, yet I was not ready to leave my family behind.
I like that the housing is family friendly. This school will be the best school for me to attend due to the fact I’m a single mother of two. They also have a lot of daycares around campus that’s a plus for me as well. Out of all the school Cal State would be a match school for
