In the future, I am interested in finding a career in the field of civil rights . To attain this goal, I will need to be trained or schooled in the area of . One college I researched for this career was at the university of California los Angeles This school is located at: Los Angeles, CA 90095. I found this school interesting because it is only an hour away from my house. The population of ucla is 43,239. I think it will be good to go to a school of this size because i get to meet many people who could have the same career choices as me . Tuition for this school is $13,251 for nine months. This will be a great hurdle to overcome, but by saving my money think I can make it. The degree I would need to earn would be a bachelor 's degree .
The civil rights movement was successful of achieving its goals. The civil rights movements wanted to end segregation, desegregate schools, and reverse the separate but equal rule. To achieve these goals the civil rights movement did various things like, court cases, sit-ins, boycotts, non-violent protest, and marches. Some of the court cases that helped the movement reach its goals was, NAACP, brown vs, board. Some sit-ins were, the non-violent protest in which blacks and whites attempt to desegregate lunch counters buy sitting at counters until served.
The NAACP wanted anti hanging laws out and fair housing laws in the anti hanging movement was one of many civil rights movements established in the United States by the NAACP. The purpose of the movement was to end hanging of African-American men and women. The movement was comprised mainly of African-American men and women who worked in many ways to end the practice. African Americans were thrown out of southern town. Fair housing is where a person is thrown out of town for a race, color, and/or disability.

There were reactions from African American young adults, nuns and pastors around the country, sheriffs, politicians, white Americans, and people from around the world. Thoreau was correct when he said “government has done little to change the course of history.” John F. Kennedy and Robert F. Kennedy didn’t do much because they wanted to maintain their social status, the sheriffs down South weren’t doing anything, and the mayors down South didn’t do much either. If anything the sheriffs and mayors of the South did everything they could to counterattack the activist groups.
