China and Egypt were both early civilizations that developed long ago and on different continents. In order to be classified as a civilization certain things were needed like a surplus of food, a division of labor, and the building of cities. Even though they were located far apart, many similarities and differences can be found between these two groups.
China and Egypt both began near rivers. China was by the Yellow and Yangtze Rivers. Egypt was by the Nile River. All of these rivers flooded. The Nile River flooding provided dark, rich silt that gave the Egyptians rich soil for farming. They learned how to channel flood waters and use reservoirs. China crafted bronze goblets, cups, and bowls. Egypt made jewelry from gold, silver, glass, and stones. The Chinese built huge walls that were 30 feet high and 60 feet wide. Egyptians used math to craft the Sphinx, Great Pyramids, and statues with stone. China’s big secret was that they learned how to spin and weave silk thread into cloth. China traded silk and bronze work. Egypt traded jewels, cotton, gold, chickens and ivory.
There were several other characteristics that China and Egypt had in common. Both Egypt and China worshipped many nature gods. Both believed in an afterlife. Egyptians developed mummification to help preserve the body of the dead for the next life. Chinese believed in fortune telling and would write on oracle bones to predict the future. Egypt was ruled by Kings known as pharaohs. China was ruled by emperors. A form of writing was also developed by both cultures. China’s writing was called calligraphy and Egypt’s writing was called hieroglyphics.
Even though they were located on different continents, amazingly both China and Egypt found similar ways to start their civilizations. Although differences existed in the goods they produced, what their writing was called, and how they ruled, the similarities between these civilizations were many. One big difference is that the Chinese civilization still exists
Rome and China are two highly developed civilizations. The Roman Empire began slightly later than the Han dynasty but it was not inferior in terms of vastness or political structure. Han China and Imperial Rome both lasted for about 500 years. They coexisted with the other civilization not knowing much more than each others existence. Politically, they had quite a lot of dissimilarities yet with that comes likenesses as well.
Classical Athens and Han China are different from each other by its size and scope, the types of government, and how philosophers influence their societies. Athens was located in modern-day Greece next to the Mediterranean Sea. China was located in East Asia next to the Pacific Ocean. One factor that distinguishes Athens and Han China are their size and population.

Rome from 71 BCE to 476 BCE and Han China from 206 BCE to 220 BCE are two very well-known classical empires. These two empires have similarities and differences in their political systems, religion, and social structure. The romans had a democratic government whereas China had a singular ruler. Imperial Rome was monotheistic and Han China was polytheistic. While they both had similar class structures, China had a three tiered social system and the Romans only had two divisions in their class structure.

Mesopotamia and Egypt were two of the first civilizations to emerge along the banks of large rivers. Ancient Egypt civilization was said to be around 3000 BC-2000 BC, while Mesopotamia 's civilization was around 3500 BC-1600 BC. During this time was the Aegean Bronze Age, where trade network, desire to conquer, imperialism and tool and weapon making was important. Egypt and Mesopotamia shared similar social structure, culture, and polytheistic views that were connected to their surrounding geography, although differences in their geography led to varying understanding on the nature of gods and the afterlife.
The land along the Nile and delta was arable and very good for farming, while the rest of the land was dry like a desert. Although the Nile floods provided silt, allowing crops to grow, the floods also destroyed villages and killed many people. Despite this, so much success was found in Egypt because of Nile River.

They had many similarities in their politics even though they had completely different forms of government. Both societies were also known for their discoveries in art and technology.
