The book Fahrenheit 451 was published in 1953 by Ballantine Books but there was a shorter version of the book published by the magazine Galaxy Science Fiction in 1951 under the name The Fireman (SparkNotes). At the time of writing the book Ray Bradbury lived in California and he wrote Fahrenheit 451 in the basement of a building on UCLA campus on a rented typewriter. He used the typewriter to escape the distractions of two kids (Bradbury Ray, Fahrenheit 451). Bradbury was a full time writer and was not employed doing anything else. The author probably had the intent of writing about what the future may hold and advances in technology and other items. Fahrenheit 451 is written as fictionalized account of events that happened throughout history. In the book it talks about how there were two atomic wars and how another war is coming. The book also talks about how firemen switched from putting out fires to starting the fires. The writing is similar to writing before in the manner that most authors are just getting their thoughts and ideas out. There are differences as well because Fahrenheit 451 was Post WWII writing and unlike American Romanticism it was about the idea of war and not love (Bradbury Ray, Fahrenheit 451). This book is not limited to religion, race, or sex. The age range for this book is young adult to adult. You need to be literate to read the book but as far as education goes you probably need to have a high school reading level. The reader is supposed to have an emotional response because it gives a sense of anticipation of what will happen next.
