CHAPTER FIVE HOW TO DRESS FOR SUCCESS Success and how we dress goes hand in hand. As employers typically look out for certain traits in making their decision either to employ, promote, demote or terminate the appointment of an employee, so does anyone wanting to do business with you. Your first impression is key and have the ability to effect subsequent meetings or encounters. To dress for success simply means dressing for the right profession. The clothes you wear reflect your personality as it speaks much about who you are and how you do business. Financing, is one aspect that needs to be considered as it might be a challenge, however, you don’t necessarily have to completely change your wardrobe as it might be too expensive to do that. In order to make good use of your existing clothes, you can simply clean up by sorting them. Separate the ones that can be paired to get a professional look while the rest can be worn as casual, but not to an office setting. Your appearance matters as it informs others what and how to think of you. A smartly dressed person immediately commands respect regardless of his or her position, nature of job or business. The next thing to consider is to go shopping. Depending on your financial status, you can pick out some affordable but classy clothing items that would fittingly complement the clothes you already have. At this stage we are looking at the quality of what you purchase not necessarily the quantity. You don’t need many clothes to look professional, it’s rather how you wear them and for which occasions. It’s very imperative to give an excellent first impression be it an interview, a business or casual meeting in the office or with clients or your first day on the job. Saltillo High School is an extremely large school with a diverse student body. Drafting a rule book that can accommodate all the different races, religions, and cultures attending the school would most definitely be a formidable task, and although the rules that are in place now accomplish that for the most part, I feel as though a better job could have been done. I would slightly alter the dress code, I would push the first bell back about a half hour, and, lastly, I would enforce exams for all students. The dress code in place at Saltillo is mostly fair; therefore, the few things I would change are minor.

When you think of success what comes to mind? In sports it’s making it to the pros. In business it’s making your first million. In high school it can be as simple as acing that test you studied for all night. No matter what profession you are in, success is the desired goal.
Success, a word we hear everyday and live our lives to achieve, but what does it mean to you? Throughout this school year, while exploring success I have learned what success means to me. While your stand may not be acceptable to others, success is when you have found happiness in your position in life, because you know you have given it your all , and have become a person you are happy being. People have a habit of basing their success off of the expectations of others.
What defines Bishop O’Dowd High School? Bishop O’Dowd is defined by a multitude of things: academics, athletics, the faculty, campus, and so forth. However, O’Dowd is truly defined by its graduating class each year. That each student who leaves the halls of Bishop O’Dowd walks away with confidence, strength of character, and characteristics that will make them a better person and give them the tools for success in future endeavors. Bishop O’Dowd is unique in the sense that unlike public school, O’Dowd enforces a “strict” dress code.
No matter what a student wears to school it doesn’t block or contribute weather a student will learn or not, so if a student wants to wear a crop top to school they should be able to wear it if a girl decides to wear shorts to school she should be able to wear it. Sometime boys might feel it’s too hot to come to school in a t-shirt and decides to wear a tank top he should be able to wear it and not have to serve a consequence. No matter how much schools have dress codes students will try to outbreak those rules. At the end of the day students come to school to get an education, students use their brains to learn and not what they wear to school.

Rucker, it is explained how women should dress for job interviews to increase their chances of getting a job. The outfits described were categorized by job status, as well as working environments that consisted of predominately males or females. The journal explains to women how to use impression management to persuade the interviewer to think more positively of them by changing the way they dress. It states that tightly fitted clothes are more presentable and unless the job is low-status and predominately male, high necklines are more appropriate.
What is success? We all want to be successful, but what does it mean? To a child, success may mean not getting into trouble at school. To a student, success means getting an A on a test. For a dance team, it may mean winning a competition.
School Uniforms: It is Not the End of the World To wear uniforms or to not wear uniforms? The hot topic on whether public school systems should carry out the idea of school uniforms has been around for a while. There are people who agree with the decision to implement the idea, and there are people who believe the idea should not be implemented. School uniforms should be placed into effect in public schools, because it will save parents cash, diminish bullying, and brings a sense of safeness to the school’s environment.
High school students, parents, and teachers are in a constant debate over dress codes throughout The United States. Teenagers, generally young women, feel as though these regulations hold several negative influences and should be remodeled in a different way. Dress codes were created over a series of court cases. These cases address the freedom of speech and expression students hold on school grounds including language, dress and writing topics. They were applied to prevent distractions to students.
What does it mean to be Successful? Success can mean many things to many different people. Being successful means to reach all of the goals that are set ahead. Every person is different, and that means that each person sees success differently. To some people being successful could be as simple as getting out of bed or getting to work on time.
What does success mean to me? It means accomplishing things in life and reaching your goals. Everyone has a different view of what success actually is. Success also means setting a goal and reaching it in a time frame you set for yourself. For example I believe finishing college and gaining a career in a field you love is being successful because it is a goal that can be achieved.
What does success mean to mean to me? It means doing things that will help you in life. I also think success mean to make you a better person. Being successful can be looked upon in many different ways, such as being rich, having nice car, good job, or anything to make someone else jealous of what you have. Being successful to me means you accomplished what your goal or goals were.
How to Achieve Success The term of success appears frequently in public notice and it spurs extensive interests in public. Everybody wants to achieve success, but the fact is that not everyone can make it even though he or she has tried his or her best. Then it comes to a question - how to make it?
