They may share the same faith as far as being assassinated for doing what they believed was the best for their followers. Another theme that I find interesting is the fact that Julius has a calendar named after him from the month of July and Malcolm X has some street’s or monumental form of his existence and what they both may have represented in a history. Yes, indeed that both of their deaths were a huge impact for both political views. They also shared the same type of envy and hatred, as for Malcolm there were people who hated him for being an African American trying to make changes and due to the color of his skin he was hated by certain groups, and as for Julius some did not like his authority in power and thought he was a danger for the Roman Empire. They both were married and had children, they were both brilliant and smart. They were represented into monumental memories for their good deeds they both did for their people. There were both ingulfed in power, having too much power can be a good thing, but at the same time it can be self-destructive. However, Malcolm wasn’t so much betrayed in the same right as Caesar. Although he had devoted a lot of his time and reputation to this group their views and opinions had become oppositional; in simple terms he was killed by an enemy that used to be a friend. Caesar however was truly betrayed by those he
The Autobiography of Malcolm X written by Malcolm X and Silent Gesture by Tommie Smith both cover the same topics, racism, poverty, and injustice. However are these two books as alike as we think? While these books cover the same topics they experience and handle these problems in very different ways. First of all Malcolm X experiences racism and poverty at a very young age when his family and him were forced to move a countless amount of times and when his dad was inevitably shot. From that moment on his life was never the same.

Countless battles have been fought on American soil, some with weapons, but most with words, opinions, and selfless actions. These memoirs tell the stories of Malcolm X and Ulrich and how they affected their respective movements. Malcolm X is one of the most famous and well known advocates of the civil rights movement. What makes a leader? I believe a leader to be intelligent ,tough, and has the determination to achieve a goal. Having certain skills will have an impact on you being a trustable leader. Since Caesar had defeated Pompey, a military and political leader during the Roman Republic, in battle and was a roman general at the time, Caesar went on to conquer and take control of Gaul ( modern day France) and allied himself with Cleopatra in Egypt by marrying her. Caesar was expecting to become dictator for life because of his accomplishments without the Senate voting on him. This shows that Caesar wanted anything that would better him in life.
Though he is still seen as a controversial figure, I believe that Malcolm X was one of the most compassionate figures in history. He once said, “I believe in human beings, and that all human beings should be respected as such, regardless of their color.” I really admire how he fought for what he believed in. Initially, I learned about Malcolm X in my AP English Language class, but I was reintroduced to his influence on the modern day black society in my college history class. Prior to being reintroduced to his philosophy in my college history class, I thought that X was a violent, racist man.
