The information was gathered through multiple tests which are used to detect the presence of certain macromolecules in the victim’s stomach contents. Then, the detective will be able to pin-point which restaurant the victim last ate at by checking the foods of the restaurants and the victim’s stomach contents to see if they will parallel each other. The detectives know that the victim’s last meal was pizza at Anthony Franco’s because the three macromolecules that were found in the victim’s stomach can also be found in pizza. Lipids were found in the stomach solution through a positive result from the paper bag test. Lipids make up the grease and oil that typically saturates the crust after cooking. Proteins were found in the victim’s stomach contents by exposing the contents to the Biuret solution and getting a positive result after the solution became purple. Protein can also be found in the meat of the victims typical, “…pizza with sausage, pepperoni, and bacon…”. The Zoo Man Murders is a case that shows that in the court of law there are ways to go around the law. That is why forensic anthropologies and scientist are very important to the law system, because sometimes they are the only ones with the power to show what really happened. He compares many things to his own real-life childhood, as the main character is so relatable. Kessel’s essay is an extremely sharp-witted, eye-opening piece, as intended by him, that is important to the more ethically conscious audience.
Customer C is responsible for murdering Fannin within Ernie’s Lunchroom. Through investigation and gathered evidence it can be determined Customer C is the main culprit for the murder of Fannin. Customer C’s involvement with this murder can be proven guilty due to the left hand dominance, leaving of footprints, and the proven alibies of the other customers.
