We have read two books this year: ´Of mice and men´ and ´The curious incident of the dog in the night-time’. The books differ a lot, however they also share some similarities. ´ Of mice and men´ is about two men, named Lennie and George, who live in the time of the Great depression. They are looking for a job, but this isn’t easy because Lennie is mentally disabled so George needs to look after him the whole time. It is a story about true friendship and living together in times where no one did. ‘The curious incident of the dog in the night-time’ is about a guy named Christopher. He is also mentally disabled and has ‘written’ this book himself. It is a story about betray and living in your own world. In the two books, ‘The Curious Incident´and …show more content…
Christopher does, he experiences a lot which changes he attitude towards people. Lennie is mentally retarded, which can be seen in his actions; he loves to pet soft things and is very faithful to George, ‘I do leave it all for you’. Christopher is also very faithful towards his father until he discovers that his father lied to him about his mother dying. They are both very curious as you can read in the table above. You could say that Christopher is more curious than Lennie, because Christopher wanted to investigate who killed Wellington even though his father told him not to. Furthermore, they are both very shy, you could say unsocial. However, there are also some differences. Lennie is very pigheaded and emotionless. While Lennie on the other hand, is very aggressive and regretful. Also, Lennie is forgetful, which means that he forgets a lot, he only remembers the stuff that George says. Christopher analyses everything surrounding him and remember everything someone says, he doesn’t always listening though. To sum up, there are as many similarities as differences. They have a lot in common, but they also differ a lot. They are a lot a like in what they say, they differ in what they do. Christopher changes more as a person and of course doesn’t
