Miranda sanderson Ms.peterson ELA-5 11.6.17 Las Vegas trip My most memorable moment was when i went to Las Vegas. I went with my grandma, my mom, and my sister. We went to there for The Monster Energy Cup.If don’t know what that is, it is moto cross racing. Okay, here we go. We left Pocatello and drove to Salt Lake to stay at my aunt 's house to stay over night. We woke up at about 4:30am and left around 6:30. My mom put on GPS and it said “7 hours and 58 minutes left to Vegas”. I tried to sleep, but when i woke up it felt like i was asleep for 21/2 hours, but when i looked at my moms phone it had only been 20 minutes. Anyways, we got to cedar city and stopped at taco bell and sat in the car and ate it for about 15 minutes. When we left
Best Moment - Gatlinburg Tennessee. “Wake up Andrew, Almost time to leave.” Mom said as walking away from my door. I 've never been so awake and excited in my life. This is the first time we’ve ever gone to Gatlinburg Tennessee.
When we got there we met up with our great Aunt Lonnie and my Mom’s cousin Megan and her two
A Fun Weekend with Austin This weekend my friend Austin and I attended the Bettendorf vs. Pleasant Valley football game as well as just hanging out with some more friends. Before the game started Austin and I chowed down on some delicious burgers and fries whiled we waited eagerly for the game to start. After the first play of the game, Austin and I thought it was going to be a blow out because the Bettendorf kick returner ran it 80 yards to the Pleasant Valley 15 yard-line.
My boyfriend Shawn came and got me from my house so we could all ride together. Shawn’s dad drove the whole way down to Charlotte, it was me, my boyfriend Shawn, his sister, and her friend that came as well. It
New Plans One Saturday morning, I woke up at seven in the morning to go to an amusement park called Six Flags. The plans had been made days ago, my two older sisters, my brother, a friend of ours and I would be going to Six Flags and spend the entire day there. As I got up after finally getting my alarm to finally shut up I walked over to the bathroom to take a shower when I realized that the ground was spinning, in my eyes at least, I had a vile taste in the back of my throat. I quickly fell back onto my bed feeling like if I hadn’t
In this letter tells of how I crossed the border between Mexico and the United States. I left my house in Guatemala at 4:30 in the morning bound for Mexico on 28 January 2002. Arrived to a central bus station in Mexico about 7:00 in the morning, where there was a man who would help me cross the border. I remember very well we took a bus as about 7:30 in the morning, while in the bus the man gave me a passport with a tourist visa for me to use to cross the border. The passport was from Guatemala, if I remember right, I do not remember under whose name was made the passport.
It was an interesting ride you would never expect was down there. We were on our way to the plane intense was increasing rapidly. On the first plane ride it was just too intense I was so excited everyone was sleeping I was awake the entire ride. The only thing that I had on my mind is me getting there to the hotel. When we were done with the plane ride our first stop was in Texas.
I would like to start off by saying some thank yous to those who made this day possible. To my parents for the much needed love and support To my family and friends and to the people who helped with my eagle project And thank you all for attending my court of honor Over the past 13 years, scouting has taught me a lot of things that will stay with me the rest of my life. It has taught me, don’t use gasoline to start a fire.
In Arizona there once was a soccer team named Hammers that was traveling on a van to a soccer tournament in Las Vegas. Throughout their journey to the tournament, these fellows sang and told scary stories. The team consisted of many players in which they all had different styles of playing and different personalities.
First off, we commenced our long trip with a very long drive. The drive was twenty hours, which is forty hours total if you include the drive back. Unfortunately, I tend to get very nauseous on road trips, so as you can imagine that was not the way I wanted to start off the trip. Although, we did go through Kentucky, so we stopped by the Kentucky Derby Museum. This was five years ago, so I don’t really remember this very well.
I think that about all five of us were set on unpacking and hitting the pearly white sand and crystal clear water. That was all that happened then. The sixth hour was boring because everyone was just ready to get out of the car. The good thing though is that we could smell the beaches. That meant one thing.
Also,we went to the restroom, bought some food passes got and some maps. Then it was the fun part, so I thought. What we didn’t realize is that the line for the Top Thrill Dragster was 2 ½ hours! Therefor, my mom left the line at about two hours into it. But my dad, sister and I fought through the burning sun and heat.
We woke up full of energy and ate breakfast. My mom had a few more things to pack up. We had to wait for her in the car. As soon as my mom came my dad turned the car on and we started the trip. The roads were very slippery
The taxi driver dropped me off at Nana, or NEP, which is short for the Nana Entertainment Plaza, a three-story complex of go-go bars and beer bars. Complete with flashing lights and scantily clad women, Nana looked every bit like the seediest part of Las Vegas, only with more T and A. Being male through and through, I walked through each and every establishment on autopilot, consuming bottle after bottle of Heineken and an equal number of shots of Tequila. The scent of vagina was everywhere, or maybe I was just imagining it, and I scoured the playing field like a lion in search for a lioness to satisfy his primal urges. She is out there, waiting for men to find her, ready for any adventure that comes with her business. Every night, she waits, knowing the foreign men are on the prowl, testosterone seeping into the night, searching impatiently.
We left, courtesy of some U.S. Airways frequent flyer miles on Wednesday, June 18th at 3:35 PM flying through Philadelphia and arriving in Las Vegas right on time at 8:02 PM. Note that I wouldn’t call these the best flight times in the world but again they were sort of free since we used frequent flyer miles and they did save me around $600 so that’s okay. We picked up our car, a 4 wheel drive Durango at Dollar without any hitches and were shortly on our way to the Fiesta Henderson to check in. Note on the car rental: I now always use Dollar Rental Cars when I travel to Vegas.
