The science fiction genre is very popular, and has made many legendary writers. Ray Bradbury was one of the best and most celebrated American fantasy and horror writers in the 21st century. Society lost a great author when he died. It was such a tragedy. He brought great books and characters into this world with his writings. He inspired millions of people with his work, which makes him an amazing author.
In Biography.com it says, “As a child, he was a huge fan of magicians, and a voracious reader of adventure and fantasy fiction” (Ray Bradbury Biography). These infatuations inspired him to become an author of fantasy and horror books. According to Biography.com, “Bradbury decided to become a writer at about age 12 or 13,” (Ray Bradbury Biography). If he didn’t decide to be an author he wouldn’t have inspired people. According to Space Age City.com, “However, two of his teachers recognized a greater talent in Bradbury, and encouraged his development as a writer. Snow Longley Housh taught him about poetry and Jeannet Johnson taught him to write short stories” (A …show more content…

On Space Age City.com it says, “His first published short story was "Hollerbochen's Dilemma," printed in 1938 in Imagination!, an amateur fan magazine” (A Brief Biography). This was his first published work, which is a serious accomplishment. It might not have been much, but it was start. According to Biography.com, “In 1950, Bradbury published his first major work, The Martian Chronicles” (Ray Bradbury Biography). This was his first big publication, which probably opened a lot of doors for him. Also in Biography.com it states, “Bradbury developed his own HBO television series, allowing him to produce adaptations of his short stories” (Ray Bradbury Biography).
