Ray Douglas Bradbury was an American author of over 500 published literary work which include hundreds of short stories, around 50 books, along with numerous screen plays, teleplays, poems, operas, and essays.Raymond was born on August 22, 1920 in Waukegan, Illinois and even after moving back and forth he considered Waukegan his hometown and used it as the setting for two of his novels later on in his life.Bradbury grew up with two older identical twin brothers Leonard and Samuel who were born in 1916.Unfortunately, Samuel died two years later.He also had a sister, Elizabeth who was born six years after Ray who died during her infancy caused Ray to be deeply affected by her loss.
