Multi Resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) is a strand of Staphylococcus aureus that has become resistant to many commonly used antibiotics. Staphylococcus aureus is an infectious disease that is mostly harmless. However, upon entering the body, it can cause various types of infections in almost any part or organ system within the body. These infections include skin infections, invasive infections, and in rare cases it may cause illness.
The Pathogen:
Staphylococcus aureus is a gram-positive coccal bacterium that is known to not always be pathogenic. It is a member of the Firmicutes phylum, the Eubacteria kingdom, and the Bacteria domain. (Wikipedia, 2015) The bacterium can be described as looking like a bunch of grapes or small berries,

Sepsis is the leading cause of shock and circulatory collapse, which can ultimately lead to death. (Conrad, 2015) Symptoms for sepsis include a temperature, a rapid heartbeat, fast breathing, dizziness, confusion or disorientation, and a reduced urine flow. (Healthdirect.gov.au, 2015) The spread of the Staphylococcus aureus bacteria to the heart can lead to an infection of the heart valves, known as endocarditis, which results in heart failure. (Conrad, 2015) Endocarditis will cause muscle aches and pains, a temperature accompanied by chills and night sweats, shortness of breath, unexplained weight loss, coughing, a headache, low blood pressure, dizziness when standing, and weakness and extreme tiredness. (Healthdirect.gov.au, 2015) If the Staphylococcus aureus bacteria enter the lungs, then pneumonia can occur. (Conrad, 2015) The symptoms of pneumonia include difficulty breathing, a rapid heartbeat, a temperature, and generally feeling unwell. (Healthdirect.gov.au, 2015) If the Staphylococcus aureus bacteria spread to the bones, osteomyelitis can occur, which will result in the severe inflammation of the bones. (Conrad, 2015) The symptoms for osteomyelitis include a temperature, severe bone pain, restricted movement of a joint, and red, warm, tender skin at the site of the pain. (Healthdirect.gov.au, 2015) If the Staphylococcus aureus bacteria infect a joint space, then Septic arthritis will occur. (Conrad, 2015) Septic arthritis will cause pain and swelling in the joints, red and tender skin, a temperature, chills, and the loss of movement in the joints. (Healthdirect.gov.au,
Hunting nightmare bacteria Answer the following questions Case of Addy (the girl from Arizona ) 1- Based on the pediatrician observations what was Addy’s diagnosis at the Pediatric Hospital intensive care unit ? She had got infected by staff or positive bacteria called Methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA). MRSA is a community associated bacteria that infects kids when they are playing in playing ground and getting scabs on their knee. They spread through that wound and it has very high resistance to antibiotics.
Inflammation is the main type of innate immunity our body uses against A. schmiddy. Inflammation begins by activating acute-phase proteins, and soon after vasodilation occurs, followed by redness, swelling, pain, and heat. Once vasodilation occurs, histamine and kinins are released and blood vessels permeability is increased, causing white blood cells to report to the infected area. One problem associated with inflammation is that the capsule of A. schmiddy is an important virulence factor, which helps the bacteria to resists phagocytosis. Because the phagocytes cannot destroy the bacteria cells, infection further continues and necrotic tissue forms.
How Long Is Strep Throat Contagious? Strep throat is a bacterial infection caused by Group A streptococcus bacteria. Although only 5 to 10 percent of sore throats are strep throat, up to 15 percent of doctor's visits for a sore throat are due to strep. It takes 2 to 5 days from the time of exposure until symptoms appear.
2.Heart failure symptoms can include shortness of breath while sleeping or walking. Symptoms can show signs of chest pain or anxiety from stress. There are multiple signs and symptoms a person should look out for, such as dizziness, fatigue, rapid irregular heartbeat, or even swelling in the ankles, legs, and feet. But, in some cases there may be no symptoms at all. 3.Heart Failure can affect anyone of age, including infants, toddlers, children, teens, adults, and the elderly.
The people that are most susceptible to get Staphylococcus epidermidis are newborns, the elderly, immunocompromised patients, and patient’s who are using a catheter. This is because newborns and the elderly do not have as strong of immune systems as children and middle-age adults
Streptococcus is often known as bacteria, that can affect a person’s throat. Often time’s people are unaware that this bacterium can also affect genital areas. Strep group B is commonly found in the vaginal, anal and rectal area of the body. This bacterium can affect 25 % of people, including pregnant women.
Damaged heart valves, toxic exposure, such as alcohol, prolonged arrhythmias, and infections are all other causes
Toxic shock syndrome is an acute septicemia in women, it is caused by bacterial infection from a retained tampon or IUD. Toxic shock syndrome is rare, life-threatening complication of certain types of bacteria. Since some manufactures took certain types of tampons off the market TSS has declined. Toxic shock syndrome can happen to anyone like men, women, and children. But it is most common of women to get this disease.
Sporadically, this can become serious and progress into pneumonia. A bacterial infection can be treated by a round of antibiotics but can occasionally become life-threatening, particularly in the frail and elderly. However, because some bacterial infections can produce signs and symptoms similar to influenza, bacterial infections should be considered and appropriately treated, if suspected.
Strep Throat is an infectious bacterial disease that is contagious and is caused by the inflammation and swelling in the lining of the mucus membranes in the back of the throat and the tonsils. The throat gets a burning sensation and a severe irritation, causing a sudden, severe sore throat. Strep throat generally affects the throat and tonsils and makes swallowing hard. Sometimes a sore throat is mistaken for strep throat.
Causes and symptoms Shock is caused by three major categories of problems: cardiogenic (meaning problems associated with the heart 's functioning); hypovolemic (meaning that the total volume of blood available to circulate is low); and septic shock (caused by overwhelming infection, usually by bacteria). Cardiogenic shock can be caused by any disease, or event, which prevents the heart muscle from pumping strongly and consistently enough to circulate the blood normally. Heart attack, conditions which cause inflammation of the heart muscle (myocarditis), disturbances of the electrical rhythm of the heart, any kind of mass or fluid accumulation and/or blood clot which interferes with flow out of the heart can all significantly affect the heart 's ability to adequately pump a normal quantity of blood.
Escherichia Coli 0157: H7 This paper will specialize on a specific type of bacterial foodborne illness caused by the bacteria Escherichia Coli. E. coli was discovered by Theodore von Escherich in 1885. E.coli is a natural found bacteria that lies throughout the intestinal tract of warm blooded animals and comes in many forms only one of which is deadly. This form is E. coli 0157:H7 which can be caused by direct exposure to fecal matter to kill this rouge
6. Inflammatory Disease of Heart: Myocarditis is in fact an inflaming of the heart muscle. It is frequently present with a severe attack of dyspnea or/and a disorderly heart beating and can develop fast. It is often caused by viral infections. Pericardial disease is a sickness of the sac around the heart.
Your blood pressure suddenly goes up You have signs or symptoms of AD that do not go away after treatment at home You have chest pain You have trouble
This extra strain can cause heart failure. Heart failure (such as cardiomyopathy) caused by many causes such as diseases, infections, alcohol dependence and drug use can lead to heart
