Remember back to your days before school, before you had to get up and get ready for the bus, before you had to listen, be quiet, and sit for 7 hours at a time. Think about before you had to start working on subjects including math, reading, and history. When you were told you must attend school, you may have been nervous and not wanted to go; but after you got there, you realized that it wasn’t that bad and then you left and went home to do what you wanted. Some believe that students are being overworked and being given too much homework that gets rid of their free time and turns students away from school and homework. For years kids under the age of 14 and 15 there is absolutely no scientific research to prove that homework is benefiting children. Students should not be assigned homework because it causes stress and along with that come other health issues and it is not worth it, and the results promised are not showing up in any studies on homework.
