I am right writing this letter to inform you about how life been after graduating from UNCG and the career I chose after graduating. The semester before graduating, I was doing an internship that was involved with my major. The internship was to go work as an assistant for a well-known physical therapist for about 5 months and gain experience under my belt. After the internship, I learned that I wanted to become a physical therapist assistant and have to gain even more experience. When the time for graduation came, I already have over 500 + hours of volunteer hours that involves with customer service and also physical therapy. After graduating from UNCG, I waited for a year before going back to school but I continued to volunteer and also, …show more content…
I took classes like KIN 220, CST 105 but the most helpful overall was KIN 250 which was though by my most favorite professor, Mrs. Poole. The course helped me realize the importance of physical activity by providing me understanding how PA can improve health, it can help people with mental problems, and it can help people to connect with each other. Physical activity has a big impact on health and also mental health by providing them a way to change their body into what they want it to be. Physical activity can help with connecting with others by helping you push yourself out of your comfort level and try something new. This course helped me prepare for my career by providing me the information I needed to be successful. The sphere of physical activity was the main thing that helped me out by providing me an understanding of how PA is in our everyday life. One of the parts of the sphere if PA includes competition and work which made me realize that the career I am in right now is very competitive because everybody wants to get in. KIN 250 provided me a layout for my career by having guest speakers come and talk about their experience they were starting with their career path. Also, when the career services employee came to explain how to create a resume. Also, the last thing I learned that was the most helpful was to always encourage people to stay activity throughout the

In conclusion, my current courses are giving me a general information of the major that I would be going into and what I should expect to learn in my future courses. It also gives me an idea of possible jobs opportunities that I would have in the future. For my Athletic training goals, my next steps would be to find an internship this summer at a gym, or high school for experience in the
These classes promote health and team building skills. Physical education classes can help students maintain a healthy lifestyle especially during the many changes they are experiencing during
I began my undergraduate education at Colorado State University in 2004. I declared my major as Business Administration with a concentration in Marketing. At this point in my life, I had no clue what I wanted to do for my career and thought this would be the best option and give me the most diversity of career options. Going into my sophomore year, I began a job in the emergency department at the hospital located in the college town. During my first day, I got to see a variety of emergent and non-emergent medical procedures.
My number one result was a family/marriage counselor. After taking a few psychology classes I decided this was the right major for me. Fast
After obtaining my associate degree I began my own step team and mentoring the young ladies at Arbor Hill Elementary in Albany NY. I then decided to continue my education with obtaining my bachelors degree in Business Administration. Being that I have become a mother of two, I knew that the chances for me to go into the classroom were slim to none. I made the decision to return back to school online to Everest University. By the time I started I relocated back to South Carolina to helped out my dad that was sick at the time.
I have frequently tried to impact the lives of others through service, and found that each attempt has also had a profound impact on my own life. This phenomenon is especially true about my Congressional internship with the Hon. Nancy Pelosi, Democratic Leader of the House of Representatives. Working for Leader Pelosi, I learned that service is about the people who are served, and not just about abstract ideas. I learned to serve others best, not by acting as their savior, but rather as their partner- a partner that empowers them to live better lives.
During three years of studying in LACC my goal was to obtain an AA degree then transfer to the University of Northridge or Cal State LA. I am majoring in Accounting and have a GPA of 3.91. I keep myself occupied by studying and working at LACC at the same time. The experience that I am obtaining working at an academic field is simply amazing because I interact with people of various education levels and work experiences. I live with my mother and sister who has two kids and help her to take care of them.
By participating as an SIP intern, I hope to gain experience in the scientific field and to further my passion in science. When I am a working adult, I would be most happy spending my days in bioengineering. I highly enjoy delving into biology- I love the classes, reading its applications, and researching what the career is like. Thinking narrowly, participating as an SIP intern gives me a chance to spend my summer well.
At all of these clinics and hospitals I have learned a variety of techniques, while completing the fundamentals of cleaning, organizing work area, securing patients with therapy equipment and motivating patients. Having to work under different physical therapists has shown me how to assist licensed physical therapists efficiently from their long hours of hard work. These educational experiences have taught me to go above and beyond my dreams and to expand my
Allow me to express my sincerest gratitude for this opportunity you have granted me. My academic goal is to pursue an education as a Registered Nurse and hopefully a three-year Bachelor of Science degree program in the future. For my parents, education was not something that came easy in Mexico. They had to have money and supplies, which they did not.
Part I: In 250 words or less, express your motivations for choosing Kinesiology as a major and how it relates to your future goals. I have wanted to pursue a career in the medical field since I was a child. In high school, this passion was put to the test after I suffered a bilateral hip injury that made mundane tasks like going up stairs, getting dressed, or even standing a painful and taxing ordeal. I was advised to quit all physical activity by my team of doctors, but as a three sport athlete for me that was not an option.
Intro • Anecdote-Remember how you felt in PE? Maybe you loved all of it; or maybe, like me you mostly dreaded it. But do you remember one unit you really enjoyed? Or one skill you developed? Or one friend you made?
Career Autobiography There are many things that I feel have led me to year number two of graduate school pursuing a career as a school counselor. For I while I tried to convince myself that a career in school counseling was not for me and ultimately everything led me here. My mother has been a school counselor for the last 25 years and I grew up watching her do something she loved. I went to school everyday and watched my mother make a positive impact on many of my classmates and this left a very lasting impression on me.
This semester I have learned a considerable amount in Healthy, Wealthy, and Wise. The wide array of content covered helped me learn a lot about different subjects. Some of my favorite activities were the Fitness Fridays and the various speakers. I was glad this class had a mixture of ways that the material was presented because it helped really understand the topics. The main topics that I feel like changed my lifestyle the most were the Behavior Change Contract, the Access Yourself Quizzes, and the lectures.
