On 4/26/17 at 1434 hrs, I was dispatched to a vehicle burglary located at 6420 101st Ave N. Upon arrival I made contact with the complainant, Diane Schilling, at 10115 64th St N. Schilling advised she witness a juvenile running from driveway of 6420 101st Ave N, placing a phone down the front of his pants while she was talking to the mailman in front of her house. Schilling advised the juvenile was a black male, wearing a green hoodie and khaki pants. She also advised he was running with two other juvenile male. Schilling stated she made contact with the juvenile by her house and told the subject to give her what he had taken out of the vehicle. The juvenile pulled out an Apple iPhone and ran north up 64th St N, then turn east running away
On Wednesday 10-14-15 at approximately 1700 hours I Officer Hildebrand and Sgt. Hard were advised by dispatch that Debra Vanblaricom was at the station asking to talk to an officer. Debra wished to report an assault on her granddaughter. We met with Debra in the Police Department to speak with her. Debra stated that she feared for her granddaughter 's safety.
On 03-27-16 at 1436 hours, I was dispatched to 777 E. Colorado Boulevard (Target) regarding a vandalism investigation. Dispatched advised the suspect was a female Black, wearing a dark grey shirt, dark grey leggings and a white hat
On September 8, 2015, at approximately 12:52 PM I, Deputy Ragsdale, was contacted by Captain Tucker to call Michael Holcombe in reference to a theft. I then contacted Michael Holcombe on Wood County cell two. He told me that his daughter was renting a house at 116 Oak Street, Yantis, Texas from Margi Halfcox, suspect. Michael Holcombe told me that he let his daughter borrow his riding lawn mower. He then advised me that his daughter was moving out of that residence.
10 Investigative Skills (7PA0006337) - Officer Stark responded to a PC211-Robbery radio call at 1038 E. Colorado Blvd. The comments of the call stated 2 Female Asians and 2 Male Asians pushed the Victim out of his wheelchair and took his wallet containing $25. Stark responded to the location, even though it was out of his beat, and asked me if he could handle the call. I advised the beat Officer that we would handle the incident for training. As we entered the Rite Aid, the Victim was sitting in his wheelchair directly in front of the exit.
C: Mrs. Mack (MHS) reported Jaheim Brown display physical and verbal aggression. A: At 9:58 PM Ms. Smalls (on call case coordinator) was notified by Mrs. Mack that Jaheim started throwing things around the home, refusing to comply with requests and refuse to communicate with Mrs. Mack. Mrs. Mack called law enforcement after Jaheim broke the bedroom closet door and other personal property in the bedroom.
On 03-07-16 at about 1839 hours, Officer Saunders #7720 and I responded to 610 N. Oakland Avenue #5 for a battery with great bodily injury investigation. Upon our arrival we met with Victim Raun Gibson who stated his daughter, Suspect Lanaye Gibson hit him several times across his face and bite him on his right forearm. Victim Gibson sustained two bite marks across his right forearm as a result of Suspect Gibson bitting him. I saw that Victim Gibson sustained two bite marks across his upper right forearm. Officer Saunders and I arrested Suspect Gibson for PC 243(d)-Battery with great bodily injury.
Defendant was pick up nearby within a short period of time after the incident. Defendant is a black male, 33 years old, 5 feet, 8 inches tall, and was wearing shorts and carrying a red and blue striped shirt. The victim was driven to the location to see the defendant, who was standing with police officers, still shirtless, with his hands cuffed behind his back. Victim hesitated in identifying the defendant until one of the police officers held the striped shirt over the defendant’s chest, at which time she identified him as her
On June 18th 2016 Deputy Akins was requested by dispatch to make phone contact with Antonio Johnson regarding Nia Sockwell who had fallen on Tuesday and hit her head on a towel rack. Upon making phone contact with Antonio Johnson, Mr. Johnson explained that his cousin Nia Sockwell, had fallen and hit her head on the towel rack while at her boyfriend’s home Tuesday, June 14th, 2016. Mr. Johnson said the cousin’s boyfriend is “Al” who lives at 1304 Valentine Rd Jacksonville Arkansas. Mr. Johnson could not provide any other information on “Al”.
On 04/19/2018 at approximately 20:04 hours I, Deputy Keith Lloyd, along with Deputy Fred Corley were dispatched to 1299 E 119th Street, Mulvane, Sumner County Kansas for an unknown disturbance. The call was transferred from Mulvane PD who advised they could only hear that a male and his son were arguing. At approximately 20:34 hours Deputies arrived at 1299 E 119th Street. Upon arrival I made contact with a white male who was I recognized as Jarid Miles Branine from previous encounters. I asked Jarid what was going on and he stated he and his father got into an argument and his mother called the cops fearing the two were going to get into a fight.
On 5/27/2018, I was dispatched and responded to 5446 Quist Drive reference to a disturbance. Prior to arrival I was advised via radio that a 14 year old male subject was brandishing a weapon towards others. Upon arrival I met with Edward Lohr, who was standing in the driveway of the residence. Edward advised that his girlfriend’s son, Seth Hayes, was lashing out and acting violent. Edward stated that Seth has been elevating his level of violence over the past few days.
On 05/06/17, at 11:43am, I Deputy Warden N. Christian was dispatched to 523 S Wayne Ave on a dog on dog or cat attack, no known owner. I arrived at the location and was met by Columbus Division of Police (CPD) and complainant Raquel Fuentes. I asked what happened; Ms. Fuentes stated that she was taken part in a community event by assisting with neighborhood clean-up with her dog (small white terrier) when a brown/white Pit Bull came out of nowhere and proceeded to attack her dog. With the assistance of passerby they were able to get the brown/white Pit Bull away from Ms. Fuentes dog.
12- 19- 2014 somewhere around 2400 and 0600 hours I Det. Scott Demeester was dispatched to 1710 Madrona Street. I was called in to investigate a homicide case. The victim was discovered tucked under a sheet in a vacant home in Atlanta Georgia.
On 07/01/17, at 3:21pm, I Deputy Warden N. Christian was dispatched to Kids Kingdom Childcare and Learning Center (970 Oakland Park Ave), on a dog at large, no known owner. I arrived at the location and met with complainant Latanya Cox and victim Jamaal Cox Jr. Ms. Cox stated that she sent her grandson outside to retrieve something from her vehicle. When her grandson returned, he stated that a brown and white pit bull was outside growled and approached him. He was able to get inside before the pit bull caused any harm. Ms. Cox escorted me outside where she point out a white house just behind the childcare center.
On 02/08/2017, I, William Van Scoter, was working as a police officer for the Wichita State University Police Department, in Wichita, Sedgwick County, Kansas. At approximately 1520 hours I was told to interview a woman who was to believed to have been sexually assaulted. I arrived at the University Police Department's lobby and was met by a female and two males. The female was later identified as Terry Giang. Giang was going to be interview by Detective Jeff Rider
There are quite a few factors that may affect when or where a property is burgled. Like: weather, while most people are indoors during bad weather this is not the case in hot weather/summer months. Also, if you live in countries that have hurricanes and/or flooding you will see people taking advantage of that fact and break in to people’s house or businesses because they have packed up and left. People will also leave holiday homes so these would also be targeted. In the UK we obviously do not have the good weather problems so burglaries increased when more women went out to work and were not at home during the day like before.
