Walter Mitty, the hero of “The Secret Life of Walter Mitty," is a talented daydreamer. He consumes a good deal of his time fantasizing that he is someone else. His daydreams all have him as a heroic character, who always to the role of saving the day. In real life, Walter Mitty is a bumbling fool who would rather spend his energy dreaming of things he isn't, rather than make a real change in his life. Throughout the story, Walter Mitty changes very little, the only thing that changes are his daydreams.
Police Brutality Bang! you hear a gunshot go off, but it was very close so you start to panic and wonder which way you should run to. So you turn around to run home and you see it. This is something you thought you would never see in your life, but there it is, so what do you do, do you run or just walk on by because you think he's doing his job or what was necessary. So you walk home and go one with your day, but that image of what you saw keeps replaying in your head and you can't get it out.
The Secret Life of Walter Mitty is an uplifting film that follows Walter Mitty as he monotonously goes to work, daydreams about being adventurous, and tries to work up the courage to talk to a girl from work. Walter Mitty is eventually able to live his daydreams through the adventure he goes on to find Sean O'Connell and, in the end, asks Cheryl to go on a date. Walter goes on this adventure because he is being pressured by work to find the negative that has been misplaced. Walter breaks free from his comfort zone and is able to see the world and all of the beauty that encompasses it. The mise-en-scene, cinematography, and sound work together in order to show the transformation of Walter Mitty and portray the meaning that the director wanted the audience to understand.
Everyone feels sympathetic for Walter because he has a drinking problem. Lena trusts him with sixty-five hundred dollars and he gives it away trying to do a deal that goes wrong. The antagonist of this story is Karl Lindner. Karl is the bearer of bad news. He is apart of the greeting committee of Clybourne Park which is known as a "white" neighborhood.
