Cherokee

Ms. Anderson, a descendant of two prominent Cherokee families, attended the Cherokee Female Seminary and graduated in 1883. She settled in Pryor, OK with her husband John, taught school, and wrote numerous articles and poetry which appeared in both tribal and non-tribal newspapers and literary magazines.
