Based on your Vision Statement, the areas I found valuable and the concepts I will apply during the module entries are earning my degree, followership, and the four dimensions of wellness. I feel, although strong in certain aspects of growth and development, to be more rounded I need to concentrate specifically on my ability to listen to everyone I deal with. This will aid me in both followership and the dimensions of wellness. Also, earning a degree is essential to ensuring a place in tomorrow’s Air Force. I have had conversations with my wife and supervisor about possibly becoming a first sergeant. While I weigh the pros and cons, need to take proactive steps so if I in fact go this route, I have prepared myself as best as possible. Expanding my social network and becoming more involved with the senior noncommissioned officers at my installation will assist me in both making the determination, and preparing for the responsibility. My goal is to sit down with my first sergeant when I return to my unit and express my interest in the position. After collecting the fact and considering his advice, I will determine if the goal is attainable and realistic. This may take a considerable amount of time to complete due to the comprehensive workload associated with being a temporary first sergeant, and full time unit deployment manager. To accomplish my goal, I must change my perspective from thinking as long as I do my job well nothing else really matters. Thinking in retrospect, this could not be further from the truth. I cannot expect to further my career if I cannot see past the lenses of my own duties and
