The French and Indian War Throughout history, we learn of many historical events that took place in any momentous time in history. Some may have more of a detailed description than others. Knowing that America could have never been America without the history that brought it up, one important event that took place was no other than The French and Indian War. The French and Indian War in considered one of the bloodiest war in the 18th century. The name giving to The French and Indian War, is ironic since the French and Indian War didn’t necessarily have to do with a war breaking out between the French and the Indians. The French and Indian war had to do with a huge dispute that broke out for the possession of land. This huge dispute broke out between the French and the British. Going back into history, we all know that Britain hold the East Coast, while Canada and the Mississippi Valley are dominated by the French. Between those two empires a huge prize called The Ohio country, a region the size of France is largely empty and out for grabs by either France or Britain. The French and Indian War in fact made George Washington the man he was. The twenty-two-year-old Gorge Washington who was a major in the militia of the British Province of Virginia was sent by Lt. Governor Robert Dinwiddle to take the French out of the Ohio Valley. He was instructed to use force if necessary. Gorge Washington did as he was told. Upon arriving George Washington didn’t realize that he was going to be involved in one of the most important historical events that will change his life and his future.
