As a DPT student, my idea of professionalism is to be trustworthy, reliable, honest, and respectful. I have quickly learned that respect and professionalism are synonyms and always go hand in hand in professional settings. One of the main behavioral focuses of all of my classes during PT school has been respecting other classmates and future colleagues in and out of school. Practicing respect while in school, teaches us to be respectful of our future patients’ time and needs.
