Should people worry about their health or the consequences that the human body can suffer due to the lack often exercising at least 2 to 3 times a week for 30 minutes’ minimum, people who work out tend to live longer. Unlike those who do not exercise put their lives in risk due to the lack of exercise. Statistics have shown that people who exercises have a happier, and of course healthier lifestyle. As we all know there is always a dark side to everything in general.
America known as "the state of obesity," is the number one state to have the highest population. People in America are known to be inactive and oneself has the fault. Now in modern days if you are in a rush or simply lazy to cook all you do is hop on your car and drive to a fast food restaurant. In fact, many people do not bother to get down their car and order in person instead people order through the drive thru. How lazier can America get! It is incredible how lazy society can be, to the point where it turns into a daily routine. Every person makes their own choice. "You are what you eat!" My best advice is to stay fit and healthy to live longer :). Thirty, ten, or even five minutes of workout increases life expectancy.

There is no way possible that a person will escape their reality. "The research demonstrated that lower amount of exercise was linked to a shorter life expectancy, regardless of BMI." So why not exercise at least once a week to start off for at least 30 minutes. Then each week add another day of exercise, and maybe even add more time if able to. Meanwhile your body gets used to the good life. Another suggestion would be to stay active throughout the day, if you do not have time to work out. Over the past century, America portion sizes and waistlines have grown exponentially. In 1975 the largest soft drink size was seven ounces, today a child’s size is 12 ounces. Also in the seventies high fructose corn syrup was invented and became a common ingredient in fast foods. Technology has contributed to our laziness and the ease of not leaving your couch to order more food. Obesity is a big problem caused by portion sizes, processed food and sugars, and technology.
One of the main causes is the abundance of unhealthy food options. Fast food restaurants and convenience stores that sell highly processed and calorie-dense foods are ubiquitous, making it easy for people to consume more calories than they need. Moreover, these foods are often cheaper than healthier options, which can be a significant barrier for individuals on a tight budget. Another factor that contributes to the obesity epidemic in America is the sedentary lifestyle that many people lead.
Every child in America can rattle off ten or fifteen different sugary snacks that they like with no problem, but not nearly as many can name the same number of fruits or vegetables that they enjoy. Junk food marketed towards children is a real threat to their overall health as they are too young to recognize that it isn’t healthy or good for them, they only see a brightly colored package and something that they think tastes good. After watching the video about Obesity in America, I had a realization of just how bad it is today. There are so many unhealthy and processed foods that are available to and the majority of the time, cheaper, for Americans. Obesity rates are growing in most of america and has become a serious health problem in early childhood. One of the problems in obesity is the fructose found in almost every food americans consume. The food industry will advertise that their processed foods are the “smarter choice” but are still filled with sugar and other ingredients we are not meant to consume.
Looking at the people today it amazes me that we do so many great things yet we can’t control ourselves when it comes to what we eat. We have a community full of obese people except for a small part of the population. When you look outside you no longer see anybody walking around, there are only cars. On each street there are at least 10 different fast food places and occasionally you’ll drive by a whole foods, but it will be mostly deserted unless you’re able to afford the food in there. Everything you see is always in close proximity to make sure no extra walking is required.
Why is there such an increased number of overweight people in the U.S. compared to other countries? I feel like It has always sort of been a known thing that a majority of people in the U.S. are overweight but I never knew why, I am glad that I was able to find some research on it. It has come to my attention that obesity has become a very large problem in America. It is a sad sight for sore eyes to walk down the street and see the mass population of the United States spilling out of their clothes.
