In this article, retail expert Kimberly Greenberger explains that in today’s world, more and more consumers are going online to buy merchandise, causing traditional brick-and-mortar retailers to struggle. Macy’s and Kohl’s are constantly at competition for the number one retailing department store leader. Yet and still there is no one leader between the two because they alternate between who takes the top spot every year in terms of sales but in terms of fan favorite Kohl’s has been number one for three years in a row according to Forbes.
