George Washington: A Brief Biography
George Washington was the commander and president for the United States of America. He was a figure for those to come many years after. Washington was a hopeful man even when his family had died. Not only was he a good leader, he was also a brave soldier. George got married and had 2 children, who he loved dearly.
George Washington was born in 1732, in Virginia. His family was rich from the tobacco plantations. A lot of his siblings died before they reached adulthood. When his father died when he was 11 he couldn’t go to school, and had to join the Navy. He dropped out at age 15 when his widowed mother objected. Lawrence died in 1749 and Washington assumed his position.
