The end of the French and Indiana war can be seen as the start of the issues leading up to the American Revolution. With the British driving the French from North America it basically left Great Britain with control of the continent. This war also left Great Britain in an economic crisis. They now had to not only pay for the war but they needed funds for the constant support they were providing America. Before this America had existed it what can be described as salutary neglect. Basically this means that the British parliamentary laws were not regularly enforced in America they were left on their own with Great Britain focusing more on the Caribbean. Now with the huge debt that Great Britain had accrued from the French and Indian war
The French and Indian war was the final colonial war and it to place from 1689 to 1763. It was the last of four American wars. This war altered the political, economic, and ideological relations between British and the French. During this time each country fought for control of the continent with the help of the Native Americans and colonial allies. Britain and American colonies were defeated even though Britain had already won all the land (Document 1).
It is our opinion that the one event that had the most significant role in causing the American Revolution was the French and Indian War. We believe this because the French and Indian war helped the colonists in the Revolutionary War. For those reasons we feel that the French and Indian war had the most significant role in the cause of the American Revolution. . The first reason why we think the French and Indian war had the most significant role is because the British started imposing tax on the American colonists.
Imagine what living in the American colonies during the seventeen-hundredth would be like, it was a period of chaos and instability due to the rise of a national American identity within the colonists caused by the separation between the colonies and Britain. Some major key events also contributed to the already growing tension, the French and Indian War, many unfair taxation put on the colonists by Britain, and the ratification of the Constitution. Although many lives were lost during the process, but through hard-fought battles, belief of freedom, and unity of the American colonists, everything eventually began to settle down and the colonists gained their independence from Britain, creating their own nation and their own form of government. The French and Indian War is what most considers to be what sparked the American revolution. The war was caused by disputed land along the Mississippi River between the British and the French, the American colonies, being a part of
The British declared war on French after battles started to happen in the Ohio river valley in 1754. The French and Indian War was significant because many colonists were forced into fighting a war they did not believe was necessary. The French fur traders wanted to acquire more land so they could advance their business in the fur trade. Thousands of lives were taken during this war. The effect this war had upon the colonists idea of self government was huge.
The French and Indian War or The Seven years War By the mid 1700’s the French and the English both held claims to the fertile land west of the Appalachian Mountains: the Ohio River Valley. The French needed this land for their profitable fur trading businesses as well as to connect their land holdings in Canada to their land in Mississippi such as the bustling city of New Orleans. The British considered the Ohio Valley their natural avenue of westward expansion. It was just a matter of time before these two great nations came into conflict over this area.

The dispute was crucial because it led to the American colonies breaking away from Britain, and instituting the United States of America. Historians believe that there were many causes for the American Revolution, and numerous conclusions were made about how this guided to dissociation. However, the French and Indian war was the greatest cause of the American Revolution. Also known as the 7 years’ War, the French and Indian war was a conflict between France and Britain over the Ohio Valley River.
Firstly, the war between the French and Indian people provided Great Britain enormous territorial gains in North America (History.com Staff, 2009). Unfortunately, Britain was in great debt because they had to pay the cost of the war, which led to colonial discontent among the American society (Pavao, 2010).
Another important similarity between the two revolutions in France and America was their emphasis on Enlightenment thought. The first of these ideas is the idea of popular sovereignty. This is the idea that governments were only legitimate if they got their powers from the consent of the people. It also holds that the people should have the ultimate power over their government. Both the French and American Revolutions were based in large part on the desire to take power away from aristocratic elites and give that power to the people.
History is made everywhere, we just don 't take it into consideration as much. Today, i 'll be explaining the differences and similarities about the French and American Revolution. The French Revolution had three estates which were first estate (church clergy), second estate (nobility and the rest of the French people), and the third estate (urban lower class and peasant farmers). They went through a lot, mostly because of debt and unfairness. The American Revolution began with the Enlightenment, which was a movement that looked at government and science and that later traced the French and Indian War which was a war on the ocean that was a conflict that brought many colonists into direct combat for the sake of the English king.
The similarities between the American and French Revolution The French revolution and the American revolution are two of the most significant revolutions in the world. They both occurred in the 18th century which is an era of new revolutionary ideas such as liberty and equality. The American revolution freed the thirteen states from British rule. The French Revolution brought an end to the monarchy, and turned France into a republic.
There were two Revolutions that are connected, The French Revolution and the American Revolution. The American Revolution came first, and the French Revolution was inspired by the American Revolution. George Washington was one of the main leaders in the American revolution. He led the colonies and future United States to a victory over the British government. The leader of the French Revolution was Napoleon Bonaparte.
The American Revolution The French and Indian War impacted the American Revolution in many ways. Britain incurred a large debt from the cost of the war and the taxes that they imposed on the colonists created feelings of anger and rebellion that led to the revolution. As a result of the French and Indian war, the British were not at full strength which allowed the actions of the colonists to be more effective. Because of the outcome of the war, France was willing to help the colonists. Without the much needed help from the French the colonist may have never won the war.
The French and Indian War was important to the American Revolution because the debt from the war was the reason that Parliament started taxing the colonists. Also, the French and Indian War made Britain very weak, making the colonists’ actions work a whole lot better. Since France was not happy with the outcome of their war with Britain this was a main reasons for France’s interest in helping the now Americans throughout the Revolutionary War, which was very important to the colonies’ victory. The reason why Britain started to tax the colonists was because of the debt resulting from the French and Indian War. The first tax was the the tax on sugar, which was put on the colonists to help pay off the war debt.
The American and French revolutions were two major events of Western civilization. While the timing and end results of the French and American Revolutions were different, the two were much more similar in many ways. They both broke free from oppressive government systems. Both were influenced by Enlightenment ideals when recreating their governments. They both inspired other countries to start their own revolutions to rid of monarchy and to create a republic government.
