Through strategic planning I focus on new skills and activities that might relate to operational processes and procedures that our organisation can use for its operations as a point of difference as these new skills might also relate to developing innovative and creative ideas related to products or services, market positioning etc. they will contribute to the development of competitive edge of our organisation by giving it an edge over our competitors and making it face up to their challenges. Also, developing new skills will broaden our organization 's horizon and will make it embrace novel changes before our competitors recognize similar trends. After completing the learning style inventory, I discovered that I am both an Active Experimentation (AE) and Abstract Conceptualization (AC) learner. Which makes a lot of sense based on my life experiences, I learn best when I am thinking and doing. I love to take my time on assignments and think about what I want to accomplish. Making sure to tackle a problem from various angles is always something that I naturally do. Once I figure out a strategy I apply the doing piece, trying and tweaking my approach until I have found an optimized route.

Self as a Life Learner I recognize traits of myself in the results of the Index of Learning Styles Questionnaire, developed by Richard M. Felder and Barbara A. Solomon from North Carolina State University (n.d.). I like to learn facts and pay attention to the details of things. I absorb information better when it is on paper. I learn most subjects easily if I have written material and enough time to study. I have also identified some weaknesses.
I would like to reflect upon how I manage my work priorities and professional development. In doing so I would go on to explain how I serve as a positive role model in the workplace through personal work planning and organisation, how I ensure personal work goals, plans and activities reflect the organisation’s plans, and own responsibilities and accountabilities. Then I will explain how I measure and maintain personal performance in varying work conditions, work contexts and contingencies, take initiative to prioritize and facilitate competing demands to achieve personal, team and organizational goals and objectives, use technology efficiently and effectively to manage work priorities and commitments, maintain appropriate work/ life balance, and ensure stress is effectively managed and health is attended to. Subsequently, I will discussion on how I assess personal knowledge and skills against competency standards to determine development needs, priorities and plans, seek feedback from employees, clients and colleagues and use this feedback to identify and develop ways to improve competence, identify, evaluate, select and use development opportunities suitable to personal learning style/s to develop competence. Finally, I will look into how I undertake participation in networks to enhance personal knowledge, skills and work relationships, identify and develop new skills to achieve and maintain a competitive edge.
