The most influential speech to me is one that Ray Lewis gave back in 2012 to his former college, The Miami Hurricanes. In the first part of this speech, Ray Lewis talks about effort. He says, “there has never been a time where someone has consistently beat me to the ball, that doesn’t have anything to do with talent it just has everything to do with effort”. For me, putting this into life perspective, it means that no matter how hard things get effort is the key. Effort will get you through any obstacle, whether it is football, school, work, or life in general.
The lesson that stood out the most to me was Niccolo Machiavelli’s view that fear is stronger than love. Prior to the Dawn of the Planet of the Apes, Caesar built a nation of apes inspired by love and continuing onto this movie, this way of leadership developed a family. However, this view made him weak among his apes because they expected him to forgive them for doing wrong with little consequences. The fear by him made him powerful among his apes because they expected no forgiveness for doing wrong and the consequence of death.

Why I Should be an Athletic Trainer For as long as I can remember I’ve been fascinated with sports. I started participating in sports when I was about nine, I ran track and played basketball. At that age I fell in love with the nature of sports. It thrilled me to cheer for my favorite teams and I was downright ecstatic when I was the one competing.
I learned about not giving up on what you want just because you didn 't get it the first time, or because it is going to be a harder than you thought. If I fell off of the balance beam at practice, or at a competition, I would get back up and keep trying. I ended up A big part of gymnastics was trying new things. Soccer isn’t just knowing how to pass the ball, it's the fluidity of how well one team can work together, what key components make a team mesh mell, why the teams would strive for perfection, how hard one will be willing to work to put forth their best effort for the entirety of the team, and what will they be willing to sacrifice. It's what separates the talented players from the great players. Passion and drive are important because without it, you can’t ever hope to achieve something you have no desire for. The passion to continue my work, to continue my pursuit in a career of criminology, to strive to be the best I can do all stem from the work ethic that I developed through the teachings of soccer. With utmost passion, everything else will
