Why I Should be an Athletic Trainer For as long as I can remember I’ve been fascinated with sports. I started participating in sports when I was about nine, I ran track and played basketball. At that age I fell in love with the nature of sports. It thrilled me to cheer for my favorite teams and I was downright ecstatic when I was the one competing. As I grew out of my adolescence I realized that there was a slim chance for me to become a professional athlete, that lead me to look into other ways to continue my love of sports. This is when the thought of being an athletic trainer came into play, I could be around sports and help athletes overcome injuries. This job would be perfect for me because I am passionate about sports, I know what it’s like to be an athlete, and I enjoy helping others. …show more content…
According to the article “How to Become an Athletic Trainer”, people that wish to be an athletic trainer must have at least a Bachelor’s Degree. It also states that high school students should take classes in anatomy, physiology, and physics to get a head start on their education. I have not only taken some anatomy classes but I have also taken a lot of health science classes, biology classes, and I have even done an internship in Athletic training. By having taken all of these classes in high school has prepared me for continuing my education in athletic training and going on to be an Athletic

Out of all the jobs in the world I chose to be an NFL coach because I thought it was an interesting job. It pays good and you're able to travel a lot. If I'm a good enough coach I can be promoted to owner of the team. The job responsibilities are to make sure that the team has disciplin so you are able to get wins. One reason this is my choice of the jobs is because I have always been a football fan
The reason why I want to be an Athletic Trainer because I want to be involved in sports. I can plan on playing a sport in college, but I’m too short and a little fat. So studying to be an Athletic Trainer is the next best thing for me to do. Although both Cincinnati and Bowling Green offer the major, I would still like to go to BGSU due to what I said earlier in the paper. Also, I have seen some of my friend’s
I have known for years that I wanted to work in the realm of health science. I knew that I wanted to do something in sports medicine. When I took a deeper look into sports medicine I learned that there are many areas of sports medicine that you can get licensed in and that the sports medicine part would be a specialty to attach to it. So I took the list as started to look through it at each job that plays an affect in the sport medicine area. I narrowed in on Physical Therapy and then took the time to do some shadowing in it for my senior study.
Now, for many athletes, this story would continue on to tell about how the sport changed her life by teaching dedication, motivation, character building and leadership skills. Naturally, I would credit my involvement in competitive cheerleading with helping to build all those attributes in myself. However, it was one of my very lowest moments that led me to develop a passion for a professional nursing degree. Six years later
Many Athletic Trainers only go through four years of college to receive their Bachelors Degree (“Athletic Trainers and Exercise Physiologists: Occupational Outlook Handbook:: U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics”). If they want to become even more successful and progress further into their field of work they will continue their education and receive their Masters Degree from an accredited college. Next, they then have to receive a certification test to become certified and licensed. Then once they receive all this education and certifications then they can proceed into their field of work.
All good things must come to an end. There will be a day, when an athlete has to stop playing ball. That transition to stop being an athlete, will be the toughest game they play. They must be prepared for the day they have to stop attending the workouts, meetings, and playing the games. Many student-athletes are depressed when they don’t make it to the pros.
I enjoy outdoor sports/activities, such as, trapshooting, hunting, and fishing just with my family or friends. More competitively I also play varsity basketball, football, track, baseball at my high school and have succeeded in receiving many honors while playing these sports in the past years. But these awards and accolades are not the true reason why I love and enjoy sports so much. This past summer I had the privilege to coach and ref a youth league at my high school with hundreds of future Wahlert students and hopeful basketball players. It was really cool for me to do this because I remember being a kid in the camp when I was younger and looked up to the varsity players coaching like they were gods almost.
Athletic Trainer Athletic trainer is the best career for me because it will bring me personal joy, financial stability, and opportunities to help others. First, a career in athletic training it would bring me great personal satisfaction. Ever since I was in elementary school, I have been the type of person who becomes concerned for my friends’ health . I always feel that I can in some way make their lives better. This is exactly the type of work that a athletic trainer does on a daily basis.
One’s life is not perfect, but it is how one deals with challenges that determine the success of a person. I would like to be both a player and coach in the future in the quest of sharing my love for the game. Ringette has helped me pursue my athletic passion and now it can help me pursue my academic goals as well. I would like to pursue recreation and leisure services so that I can share my love and appreciation for sports just like ringette. If it was not for my participation in ringette, I would have never has the opportunity to discover my passion for sports and helping
Maybe leaving soccer wasn’t the right choice or maybe it was. Right now I know running was the right choice but maybe the future holds something different. I’m not certain what the future holds, but I do know who holds it. That is me.

A fitness goal setting is an important process before embarking onto any weight loss activities. Many people have tried different weight loss programs, but could not reach their wanted fitness level. I have a talented but young athlete who wants to become an Olympian someday. I want to help this athlete to reach their goal. The first thing I want the athlete to do is understand that they will need to have patience and be fully motivated because Olympians are like experts in their sport. Research has shown that it takes about ten years to become an expert. Also I want the athlete to know that I believe in them and that it will be a journey that we will take together until we reach the Olympics.
