Having my high school at the AP program established under SCNU was always one of my luckiest things happened to me. At here, I was trained to be priorly familiar with the U.S. education system and successful after coming to the U.S. where all the students were supposed to go. In order to be prepared, I was trained to write different kinds of essays, including laboratory report, social science research paper and literature expository writing. I have started to write all these kinds of essays since grade 10, and every writing assignment has gone through the process of outlining, drafting, peer proofreading and editing. At college, my writing style hasn’t really changed, yet, the way I write an essay has changed. I used to frame out

My feelings toward writing aren 't good nor bad. Writing is something i have had difficulty with in my past. I have no problem brainstorming ideas on what topics to write my assignments on, even if i am given a prompt, but I do have difficulty with sitting down and planning my work. I always find myself getting stuck. So I almost never take the time out to plan out my ideas i come up with.
My history as a writer has been a bit of a struggle of slow development. From a young age I had a hard time with spelling and this is still a trouble area for me, even with the help of autocorrect. As I grew in age and as a writer my problematic area became not including enough nitty gritty details. My bad experiences that I recall would always involve the start of writing because I struggle with beginning paragraphs. Also, I tend to use the ending paragraph to just repeat myself, so overall my first and last paragraphs are usually shit.
Transitioning from high school to college can be overwhelming. Before English 1301, I did not worry about preparing for college. I quickly realized that my little background in writing essays was not enough for college courses. Writing is not just a skill that I will need for English classes. In college, I will have to use effective writing skills in all my classes to complete research papers, essay tests and communicate with professors.
Since the sixth grade, the blank page of Microsoft Word has been one of my biggest obstacles in writing. Collecting my thoughts, organizing them, and then articulating them was a struggle. Over the last several years I have felt as if my writing has plateaued. Time and time again I found myself staring at the computer screen desperately trying to start my introduction paragraph. Feeling a need to change I enrolled at University of North Georgia in English Composition 1101.
College writing is demanding and differs greatly from high school writing. While both high school and college writing have to be grammatically correct and subjectively enjoyable college writing requires more skill and technique, which I have listed below. As a college writer, one is expected to prove that they have put some thought into what they are writing about by doing some research on the topic and incorporating the views and thoughts of other sources in the paper. It is important for these sources should be cited in the paper being written.
On Thursday 12/16/16 at 2201 hours I contacted Johnson by phone. Johnson was very upset that a Police report had not been taken, and when I explained I had read the previoud calls that stated she had given the male permission to take the vehicle, Johnson being screaming at me so loudly I could not understand what she was saying. After a few moments Johnson began speaking in a normal tone and explained to me she never gave the male permission to take her vehicle. Johnson told me on Wednesday 12/14/16 at about 0200 hours she was with her friend Julie Prunty in Tacoma. Johnson told Prunty indroduced her to a male, and her and the male drove to her residence (Johnson 's residence).
With some focus, my signature strengths should help me produce a system that will help me achieve academic success here in the apprenticeship. First off, a Futuristic strength will aid in setting solid, attainable goals for my future - not only in the shipyard but in life in general. Low points will come with any challenging period in life, and having a way to look into the future, to see the bigger picture, will help immensely. Possessing Intellection as strength in an academically challenging program like this is obvious, as it will help me process problems and new ideas in my head.
All About Me Have you ever wondered what makes you different from the other seven billion people on this earth? I am unique in many ways from talents to challenges and lifelong goals, and all of these will shape me into the person I will become. I have always possessed a strong passion for golf, which has lead me to try to make it my profession. When I was five, I received my first set of golf clubs for Christmas and eventually took my first lessons ever since then I have strived to be just like the professionals.

Throughout my many years of schooling, I have developed many different skill sets as a writer, reader and researcher. All of these experiences have allowed me to develop these skills and improve more and more over time. Through these many years, I have learned my strengths and weaknesses as a writer and who I am as a reader and a researcher. When writing, I have many different strengths and weaknesses which can both help and hurt my paper.
I have learned so much about writing in the last few months. I have gained confidence in my writing because of the many peer reviews and working drafts. One of my goals is to never settle for “okay”, to keep striving to be better. Once I am happy with how I did in something, I tend to become complacent. I do not want that to happen in my essays.
I may have a small problem with my ego. Sure, I know that just because I may find the work that I do to be amazing, doesn 't mean that everyone will think that my writing pieces are the best and hold it up for the world to see. But how in the world did I get into Intro to Creative Writing? Am I so untalented that I 'm forced to relearn the bedrock, the basic necessities of writing. I don 't think so.
I took honors and AP English all throughout high school, and while those years helped foster and develop my writing skills, I have learned that those skills are still developing to this day.
