I am writing this letter on behalf of Quentin Goodman, an incoming high school senior who is looking to volunteer at NYU Langone Medical Center, Center for Musculoskeletal Care (CMC), Physical Therapy Department located on 333 East 38th Street, New York, NY 10016. NYU CMC Physical Therapy Supervisor, Dr. James Koo is a professional and personal friend of mine and he gave Quentin your contact information and a tour of the clinic. The reason Quentin wants to become a physical therapist is because his sister, Camille, has had several surgeries when she was younger. He was able to have a first-hand look at how much a physical therapist could impact someone’s life. Camille had to undergo yet another surgery in the summer of 2016, and Quentin was again able to see how different her life would have been without the help of physical therapy. He witnessed her go from not being able to walk, to being on crutches, to finally being able to jog a year later. He explained to me how grateful Camille was for all the help she had received from her physical therapist over the course of this year, and he told me that that was the reason why he wants to become a physical therapist when he grows up. …show more content…
A volunteer opportunity like this could really make his college application stand out from the rest, and would give him a much better chance of getting accepted into this or other prestigious schools. Currently in the top 20% of his class, Quentin is passionate about science as evidenced by his receiving an “A” in AP Biology this year. He feels that this clinical observation opportunity at NYU CMC will provide a deeper context of understanding for his emerging love of the physical therapy

P.T.A Application Personal Essay “The best way to find yourself is to lose yourself in the service of others.” This is a quote by Mahatma Gandhi that I hold very close to my heart and my beliefs. I love helping others no matter how small or daunting the task. Seeing others benefit from my help is truly rewarding, and provides me with the ultimate feeling of success and happiness. In addition to my overwhelming passion for helping others, becoming further educated is something I believe to be crucial in living a accomplished life.
Dear God, why have you forsaken me? What would you have me do? I am a man of faith. I must have faith, or I have nothing! What is the meaning of a life of a reverend if he does not believe the very name he preaches?
I am writing this letter in hopes of convincing your Highness to give permission to me to continue similar expeditions in the future. As someone who is quite interested in exploration and navigation, I believe that these types of journeys will very beneficial. Such travels have and will continue to help us figure out efficient trade routes, gain more knowledge about exotic lands such as the New World, and develop alliances with the native people. Your Highness would find it simply unbelievable as to how such explorations can facilitate in the growth of the economy, trade, and power. Why are effective trade routes so important?
My core values have improved because I have been more focused and understanding to my patient's desire or achieve in receiving physical therapy treatment. As a clinician, I take more responsibilities of accepting errors and consequences and self-correct without taking in a negative manner or revenge. I became more flexible with changes of the style of treatment, such as new advanced technologies based on evidenced based practice, linked to excellence (core value). The physical therapy code of ethics has impacted my career of being more aware in preventing liabilities, such as performing activities beyond the scope of my practice. There is a professional consideration of each other's limitations, by engaging in exploration to add to the discovery of facts recognized in the scope of practice (APTA, 2003).

Watching my mother and father, volunteer countless hours coaching little dribblers inspired me to take up a servant’s heart. This past summer I assisted my brother-in-law in coaching his little dribbler’s basketball team and I found the experience extremely rewarding. My participation in that event left me with an overwhelming feeling of selfless joy. Therefore, I’ve decided to pursue my passion through a career in the healthcare field in hope that I can give back to the community that has shaped me into the man I have

Hello Bonnie, I hope you have got a chance to go outside and enjoy the warmer days we have been having. Thank you so much for sending me the pictures of the burn on your arm. His role as an oncologist has profoundly influenced the manner in which I plan to practice medicine in the future: with respect, compassion, and empathy for my patients. It was my observation of his interactions with cancer surviving patients that first inspired me to pursue medicine. These interactions inspired me not only to embark on a profession where I could serve others, but also make a difference in the lives of others. I believe I can make the biggest impact in the lives of my future patients by combining my passion for the clinic and science as a physician-scientist. Though I am early in my medical journey, and am willing to keep an open mind, it is only natural that I yearn to pursue a profession related to oncology.
Dear, I ‘m writing you to ask that you vote no on the Proposed Keystone XL Pipeline. The reason personally that I believe that you should vote no is because of the problems that will occur do to transporting oil in this way. Not only are we effected the environment in a negative way, we are also putting lives in jeopardy. The 1700 mile underground pipeline would link the tar sands fields of northern Alberta to oil refineries in Texas may sound like a great idea, let me tell you why I know that it is a bad idea.
Dear grandpa. Mother, Johnny, Ruby, Kate, Leo and I are on vacation on a camp. It’s very boring here, mother said that if we can get the money to leave to America to live with you we would do so. They took Jake to an extermination camp.
The fact that learning never stops, that you work and collaborate with some of the smartest minds around, and the uniqueness of each patient gets me very eager to enroll in a challenging DPT program with proven student success. I am very thankful for the experience I’ve had so far observing physical therapy and studying the sciences in my undergrad. I don’t think as many other careers are so open to allow students into their workspace and I look forward to one day being able to spark another young student’s interest in rehab therapy. Before my sophomore year in high school, there was little I knew about the physical therapy field but since then I have spent a great deal of time observing physical therapists and from all that I’ve learn I know that I want to become a physical
The opportunity to attend the University of Puget Sound Doctor of Physical Therapy Program is exciting. I am especially interested in the specialty clinical experiences in oncology physical therapy and sports medicine rehabilitation, as these are both notable programs in research and practice at the University of Puget Sound. Additionally, I appreciate smaller class sizes and I am extremely interested in the on-site clinic and integrated-care learning environment, where I would be able to work in teams with health care providers from different fields. Additionally, I value the University of Puget Sound’s emphasis on hands-on clinical education, manual therapy, and using research findings to improve care of patients. Finally, having grown up
I have been prized with a beautiful lady named Chryseis from Troy. I am in love with her and would do anything to keep her with me. However, her father, Chryseis, has begged me for his daughter back. I couldn't let this happen, so I refused. Because of this our city was attacked by the god, Apollo.
