During the Industrial Revolution, many inventions were made, and one of them was the Power Loom. The Power Loom was a steam-powered, mechanically operated version of a regular loom, that combined threads to make cloth. This was invented by Edmund Cartwright and was made in 1785. Edmund went to a factory, and was inspired by what he saw. He began working on the Power Loom, so that weaving was more fast and the quality was improved. The Power Loom was at first not working so well, until used with the Steam Engine. It then was used for repairing threads, but although it was working, Cartwright was a poor businessman and went bankrupt.
