For younger people it is definitely necessary for them to spend time outside and stimulate them. With such a brobdingnagian list of benefits, there are only few reasons to not spend a day outside every once and while. Even if it takes away from school time, going outside still has its educational benefits. It gets the brain working and ready to learn after you have a large amount of fun. There are some negative effects of going outside during school time, but the positives overwhelm what could be a reason to not to go outside. There is a famous saying stating that if you exercise for 30 minutes a day you are in a good position for your health. There is only one problem with this. During school time there are approximately 30 minutes for lunch in general. A young adult needs to have a great amount of saturation to get through the rest of day which takes away from the time they have to spend outside. After a few more hours of school they come home to more and more homework the older you get. They finally finish this large amount of homework and since winter is approaching it’s already dark outside. In the end they only get around 10 minutes of exercise a day when they should be getting 30. Even if it is only for one day having a whole class period to exercise would stimulate the brain and give youth the needed exercise they’ve lost from the whole week. It lets one be unencumbered while becoming healthier the more exercise. …show more content…
After having time to exercise you feel energized and have a better attitude at the school subjects because you have had time to let all the built up craziness to be set free. Spending time outside energizes and motivates you to do more things while keeping all of the craziness kept down so you can still do well in
To answer this question we must first understand the importance of play. If we understand, on the most basic level, that play is essential for a child to have a good health and wellbeing. Then it could be concluded that outdoor play needs to be considered as an important component of education and care. Outdoor play has recently been included in the early year’s framework across the UK. The Statutory Framework for early year’s foundation stage in England now includes an expectation that young children will be offered good quality outdoor environments in order to support their 6 areas of development such as; physical, intellectual, emotional, spiritual language, and social.
In the society we live in today, doctors are paid an exponential amount of money and for good reason as they help us live a healthier life. My question is why are teachers, who are responsible for helping students, paid under the average salary of most Americans. The average income for Americans is roughly 81,400 dollars, then there is the average income for High school teachers at 56,350 dollars. When the pay is raised it’ll get teachers more interested in doing the best they can do to give their students a good education. Then higher pay attracts teachers who have better experience, education and credentials which also increases the quality of the education.
Doesn 't every student just love getting their test folders back and seeing good grades? It 's means you have studied and understood what you 've learned, but does getting paid seem like a good way to honor students who did good? I don 't think that is a good way to praise students who did good. Would you like to get paid if you received good grades?
(Pica) Kids lose weight from running around and exercising. They lose weight from just being active. Kids need time for recess. It helps them stay active and healthy. Another piece of evidence is childhood obesity is a huge problem and a health concern for parents, says the American Heart Association.
Opening statement Most people will think that oh middle schoolers get enough physical activity but that is not the case. Middle schoolers need recess. Middle schoolers need to get all the physical activity they need to let loose their energy. The first reason is that middle schoolers from most studies done by cnn say “that middle schoolers need an average 50-60 minutes of physical activity everyday.”
In the video there is evidence that the students are spending half of everyday outside no matter what the weather conditions are this contributes to the learning of the children because they are learning to explore nature, they are able to breath clean air and they are able to have fun, run, touch and see things that spark interest in their learning. Although they are not working with worksheets or have anything in particular these students are able to learn from the outside, in the video it was clear that the students were engaged in touching the water the sand and many other materials found in nature. From the video I was capable of seeing that being outside is important to these students, here is where they can develop sense of freedom and
If you think about it parents do things around the house everyday. The only way it would be fair for kids to get paid is by the parents getting paid also. That is my opinion why kids should not get paid to do everyday jobs. They should be doing those tasks anyways its a part of life.
Woah kids are getting paid for getting good grades! Why would parents bribe their kids with such a thing as money? The kids should want to be educated instead of getting paid for going to school. Kids will cheat instead of doing their homework just because they will get paid. Also if the kids do their homework without being paid, they will be more accountable with the actions they do.
Many kids wake up early everyday and go to school, just as adults go to work. Don’t they deserve to be paid, as well? Whether or not we pay students for good grades is an important issue that could have a substantial impact on our future society. If students get paid for good grades, higher graduation rates would be one of the effects. Another is that it prepares students for the real world.
Research by journal paediatrics that at as little as 15 min break will highly impact the overall behaviour of students, it is the same for academics shown in research a 30 min activity break can highly benefit the overall grades of students. Studies in 2008 done by the university of Georgia showed that 65% of fatigue levels can be released by just 20 min of movement in break.(Blake,C,2015) A 10 week study done by dr. Ronald W. Deitrick showed that without break children that had not participated in the task put on ten pounds of fat (averaged) while those that did take part only in the task only put on one pound of fat, in a survey of 200 principles 65 stated that they had seen an increase in better social skills than been in class the entire time. A study done in 2009 by the journal of paediatrics found that 15 more improved social and behavioural skills in working periods of class.(Toporek, R 2011) People are coming together to move towards less physical education systems and more breaks in school, the Robert wood foundation founded in 2007 that as little as 36% of students receive the recommended amounts of physical activity. Also founding that recess is a crucial and necessary element in a childs development in day to day life.
These things will improve one’s health. In addition to improving one’s health, it is also better for one’s concentration. The average student needs about ten hours of sleep; however, most students, especially teens, only get around seven hours of sleep. If school started later students would be able to sleep in and therefore get more sleep which would increase their concentration in class.
In that way, children and adolescents do not have to spend extra time exercising out of class or during their spare times since they would fulfill their requirements already by attending the class. In addition, it is vital for schools to get support for some equipment so that every student has equal chance of using the tools and equipment available to them. By providing the environment that children can easily exercise, I strongly believe that the percentage of children being obese will likely to
There are 24 hours in a day, 8 of those hours belong to school. From the moment when a student wakes up, they begin to prepare for school then go to school, most schools start around 8:00-9:00 am, so most students get up 1-2 hours earlier to get ready. Students need at least 8-9 hours of sleep to be able to function. With students having after school activities that take up around 2 hours, students are exhausted and when they get home all the want to do is relax, but some of them have responsibilities that they have to do, which gives them less time to relax from a long day of school. On top of having homework students end up staying up late getting all their work done, which cause them to be less focus the next day not allowing the
Have you ever done chores for you parents? Did they ever give you money for your help? For example, have you ever took the trash out and you mom or dad gave you a couple of dollars? People argue about whether or not kids should get paid to do chores.
First, I will describe the relationship between exercise and academic performance. Many studies have been conducted to explore this relation, one being a University of Illinois study in which students age 9 to 10 were tested on their endurance by running on a treadmill. After
