George Washington was born on February 22, 1732. As a child Washington didn’t have the best life because of all the things that happened to him when he was little.
First of all, the first thing that wasn’t good in his life was the French and Indian War that happened in 1754 – 1763. It wasn’t good for him because he could get injured from it as a result.
Next thing,that happened in his life that wasn’t good was The American Revolution that happened in April 19, 1775 – September 3, 1783 and it wasn’t good for him because he could also get hurt from as a result.
The last thing that was good was that he lived a long life. It’s good because he was president for a long time too.

The book 1776 of David McCullough is very interesting history book. It took you back to the most relevant history time of American history of 1776. The book captures your attention with well-written narrative and format. The New york Times reviewed the book as “ the book is nonetheless a stirring and timely work, reminding us that it is soldiers rather than tavern patriots and windy politicians who have always paid the price of American idealism and determined successes” in 2005. David McCullough is a native Pennsylvanian.

Awesome achievements during the war are that he wrote a book called Regulations for the Order and Discipline of the troops for the United States. George Washington spent his time after the war building a government and creating new systems to construct a stronger government. In “George Washington: On the Lack of National Spirit Letter (1778),” he explains how he sacrificed his life to build a country the next generations could grow up in. Washington states, “By a man who is daily injuring his private estate without even the smallest earthly advantage not common to all in case of a favorable issue to the dispute; by one who wishes the prosperity of America most devoutly and sees or thinks he sees it on the brink of ruin” ("George Washington: On the Lack of a National Spirit Letter (1778)"). After inheriting Mount Vernon because of his brother’s death, Washington joined the British Army (Knott).
George Washington was a great leader. “He respected all his men and listen to their ideas one by one.” This makes happy his men to be treated with respect to be listening. They feel like humans. Doing this make people want to work that help run well the United States.
During the French and Indian War, he served as a military commander and gained valuable experience that would later serve him well during the American Revolution.
Although unrelatable and underappreciated in the eyes of modern history, George Washington shows his greatness through his character. Contemporary culture often neglects to recognise Washington’s greatness. Sadly, he has become a figure so far removed from the ideals and lives of modern Americans, that his name often provokes boredom. Nonetheless, his character proved to be perfect for what America needed during his life. His greatness was largely due to chance.

During George Washington speech senator William Maclay of pennsylvania remarked that George Washington looked agitated and embarrassed.
