Why Go To Foster Care Essay

When you get older are you considering going into foster care? My answer to this question is yes. There are three reasons as to why I would like to participate in the foster care programs. First is because I want to help the children who are not able to be with their parents at the moment. Second is because i love children. Lastly is because i am participating in one of the programs right now. First of all ,many children are taken away from their parents. I would like to be able to be the house for those children. Once they are taken away from their own parents they go into someone else 's house if the couple says they are able to. These kids deserve the chance to get back with their parents; that is what the foster care programs are all about. …show more content…

I am the oldest child in the family so I have grown up with younger siblings and cousins. I want to care for these children whose parents were not able to take care of them. I want to give them love and be there to comfort them until court is over for that child. Children are very special to my heart. I love to see them laugh, play, learn, and grow. Lastly, I have been a part of this program for about 9 to 10 months. In the past year my family had the privilege of becoming a part of a foster program called The CALL. We have had children ages 5 and under come in and out of our home. I have been enjoying being a part of this program and i plan to do it when i get older. Right now we have a 6 month old and a 7 month old. I love meeting all of these children and watching them learn and grow. This is a experience that i will hold dear to my heart for the rest of my life. In conclusion I definitely plan on doing foster care when i get older. I have experienced it as a teenager and i enjoy it very much. I want to help all of these children and give them a chance to go back to their parents. Children deserve to be loved and have a good place to stay. I want to be the place they stay until they can be reunited with their parents if its possible.
