Why George Washington is the Best American influential figure
Though there are many people who could be considered America’s most influential figure, George Washington is the best American figure because of how he influenced America socially, economically, and politically. One of the biggest ways he socially influenced America was when he established November 26th as the official day for Thanksgiving. signed a copyright law that protected the copyright of authors. Then, right before George Washington passed away, he became opposed to slavery, though he owned around 300 slaves. Georges's economic influence was established when he set up the first national bank, which was called The Bank of the United States. Along with that, he sent out 12,000 troops of the militia to get rid of the Whiskey Rebellion. The Whiskey Rebellion was a tax protest in which they were protesting being taxed for a domestic product. Then he supplied the ability to e private credit. George had a major political influence on America. The biggest influence was that he was the first president of the United States.

The people had observed Washington's leadership in the American Revolutionary war, so they wanted him to be America's first president. History. He took a group of volunteers with him to an isolated area, so that they could gather intelligence information on the enemy, which led to him to forcing the French to leave the area. Washington turned his volunteers into a real army by initiating disciplinary regulations and getting the Continental Congress to give him more money to pay his army, in an effort to stay the course longer. Because of his leadership skills, he was chosen to head the assembly that developed the Constitution. Washington worked for over a year to develop the Constitution, one of which provisions was for someone to be named a president.
