When Romeo sends Balthasar to find information about Juliet, he exclaims his excitement by saying, “News from Verona! How now, Balthasar? Dost thou not bring me letters from the frial? How doth my lady? Is my father well? How fares my Juliet? That I ask again, For nothing can be ill if she be well” (5.1.13-17). Romeo is to blame because when Romeo sends Balthasar to find anything about Juliet. Balthasar sees Juliet dead and tells Romeo. Now Juliet is not dead but she is under the poison. Romeo finding out that Juliet is “dead” ruins Friar Laurence's plan. Third of all Romeo killing himself. When Romeo sees Juliet “dead” in the Capulet tomb, Romeo mentions his sadness by mentioning, “A dateless bargain to engrossing death! Come, bitter conduct; come, unsavory guide! Thou desperate pilot, now at once run on The dashing rocks thy seasick weary bark! Here’s to my love! O true apothecary! Thy drugs are
Shara Varenhorst Varenhorst 1 Mr. Klug 11 May, 2018 Placing Blame in the Tragedy of Romeo and Juliet In tragedies the first action that’s taken, is finding who is is responsible. Who will be punished for what has happened? But who was to blame for the demise and horrible tragedy of Romeo and Juliet. Maybe if Rosealine didn’t break Romeo’s heart, and Mercutio and Benvolio didn’t try cheering him up by inviting him to a party; Romeo and Juliet wouldn’t have met death days later.
Romeo, an overly dramatic character, is one who does not think things through. Romeo’s death was caused due to Friar Laurence, who failed to send a letter informing Romeo that Juliet was simply in a death like sleep. Romeo, being one to jump to solutions stated, ‘Noting this penury, to myself I said, “ An if a man did need a poison now”… (Shakespeare 5:1 Lines 51-52)’.
When problems sprout like flowers, it’s quite difficult to find the root of the problem. In Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet, two star-crossed lovers, Romeo and Juliet, end up taking their lives due to sundry aspects. However, there is one overriding aspect responsible for their deaths who happens to be Romeo’s best friend. Mercutio is the most at fault for Romeo and Juliet’s death; Mercutio is the character who ultimately convinces Romeo to attend the Capulet’s feast and because Mercutio challenges Tybalt to a fray — sparking a chain of events.
The play Romeo and Juliet is known by many people. However, how many people understand the words in the last lines of the play. In the play’s final lines, the Prince promised that “Some shall be pardon'd, and some punished.” This quote means some people will be be affected by the death of Romeo and Juliet. More importantly the speech was directed at those responsible for Romeo and Juliet’s deaths.
In the Shakespearean play Romeo and Juliet, the play is mainly ran by the bad choices Romeo and Juliet make. These many hasty decisions eventually led to the death of the two star crossed lovers. Some of the decisions that will be mentioned here will be: Romeo getting involved in Mercutio and Tybalt’s “duel”, the Friar agreeing to marry Romeo and Juliet, and the two lovers rushing into marriage. To begin, one of the impetuous decisions Romeo makes: Getting involved in Mercutio and Tybalt. “Hold Tybalt!
There may be multiple people that play a role in the death of Romeo and Juliet; however, Mercutio should be assigned the blame. Romeo and Juliet is a play written by the famous playwright William Shakespeare. The play is about two star-crossed lovers who meet at a party and instantly fall in love but due to many complications, they have to keep their love a secret. The two decide to secretly marry but when Lord Capulet finds Juliet a husband, Romeo and Juliet are forced to think of schemes to protect their marriage. In the end, due to their unlucky situation and the interference of others, the two lovers commit suicide because they cannot be with each other.
The Death of Romeo and Juliet It is Friar Lawrence's fault because he gave Juliet the potion and married Romeo and Juliet. Also, he should just told Romeo that Juliet was going to take a potion that was going to make Juliet look dead so she could miss her wedding to Paris. It is Romeo’s fault because he fell in love with Juliet who is a Capulet and already is soon to be married to Paris. Romeo killed himself because he thought Juliet was dead causing Juliet to kill herself. It is Juliet’s fault because she loved Romeo back who is a Montague and left her “fiance” Paris.
These tragic events all occurred because of the fight between Romeo, Mercutio, and Tybalt. This causes me to believe that Tybalt is to blame for the tragic disasters in The Tragedy of Romeo and Juliet. From the beginning of The Tragedy of Romeo and Juliet, Tybalt has hated the idea of Romeo and his appearance at the Capulet party. Tybalt: “Uncle, this is a Montague, our foe, A villain, that is hither come in spite, To scorn at our solemnity this night.” (Shakespeare, 393).
Tybalt probably wondered why Romeo now loved the Capulets as much as he loved his own family, the Montagues. This is an example of dramatic irony. You could therefore argue tat Romeo is to blame for Mercutio's death because if Romeo was not so love-struck when he met Juliet he wouldn't have married her. The day before he was totally in love with Rosaline. If the marriage between Juliet nd him hadn't happened then Romeo probably would have fought ybalt and Mercutio would not have been involved at all, therefore Mercutio would not have been killed.
He also gave Juliet a remedy to fake her own death because she didn't want to marry another man. At this time, Romeo was banished from Verona and did not get an explanation as to what happened. This is shown in Document C, third note, " ." It continues to Document E, second note, " . " Without a proper explanation, Romeo has decided to poison himself.
Many times, decisions can often be changed or supported by other people. However, one still is the one who chooses what to do, the only thing other people can do is convince you or help you. At the end of the day, it’s your decision. This is why Romeo and Juliet’s tragedy was in their own hands. Had they not done one thing, the other would not have occurred, leading to a domino effect of nightmares and just nothing going right for the two young lovers.
In the play Romeo and Juliet Romeo is to blame for his and Juliet 's death. This is shown first in the play when Romeo kills Tyblalt, In the play Romeo says " Tybalt the reason i have to love thee doth much excuse the appertaing rage to such a greeting villain am i none" act three scene 1 lines 55-60. This causes Tybalt to become angry because he he doesn 't know that Romeo is married to Juliet. This shows Romeo at fault because he should not have been in such a loving mood towards someone who hates him ,and doesn 't yet know that they are related now.
A question asked by many curious people who have read Romeo and Juliet is who is at the hands of the death of Romeo and Juliet? The first person to blame is Friar Laurence. He is the man who made the plan to get Romeo and Juliet out of the city and gave Juliet the serum. In the passage by Ryan P. “Who is to Blame for the Death of Romeo and Juliet?”, he answers “Friar Laurence is a major culprit of the deaths of Romeo and Juliet”. With this statement he explains “He created a gargantuan plan that he improvised in a matter of seconds and expected every step to work out”.
When Tybalt kill Romeo best friend Mercutio Romeo got mad and got revenge by killing Tybalt. Romeo didn’t have to kill Tybalt he could’ve just let the prince deal with him. If Romeo wouldn’t have never
