Leadership is the action of leading a group or organization. To be an effective leader one must be honest, trustworthy, and contain a large amount of integrity. The traits and qualities of an effective leader were taught to me during my time in JROTC. JROTC stresses its core values of honor, courage, and commitment to all of its members. Cadet's are expected to uphold these three values in every aspect of what you do as a cadet in this program. When I first entered this program I was a shy and insecure little girl who had no idea what she wanted in life. I started as a squad leader, in charge of about 5 people.
