The overall supply chain is based on coordination whether its commercial logistics or HL without integration between different actor and player it‟s difficult to achieve final goal. The main objective of coordination in humanitarian relief chain (HRC) is based on how efficient and effectively you react in manmade or natural disaster. If respond is not fast and quick there will be increase in damages in form of lives, infrastructure etc. For example, Chinese earthquake killed more than 67,000 people in 2008. Similarly, in Cyclone Nargis (in Myanmar), about 78,000 people lost their lives. The natural catastrophe of Christchurch earthquake (New Zealand, 2010 and 2011) and Tokyo tsunami (Japan, 2011) cost millions of dollars to rehabilitate the …show more content…

That‟s why different organization joins hand together so that they can respond in better way during the disaster. Different organizations have their own specialties and resources so most of times these organization shares each other resources and work together to complete the relief operation. Therefore term coordination is defined as relationship and synergy between different actors and player working in relief operation. In HRC there is a chain of coordination between different organization which include international relief actors, local organization, Nonprofit government organization and private or government organization (Balcik et al. (2010)
4.2 Actors involved in Humanitarian Relief Cycle:
Many actors, like donors, aid agencies, governments, military or non-governmental organizations (NGOs) are involved in humanitarian relief operation. Each of them play different role in disaster relief effort; sometimes political issue can affect the successful conduction of HRC (Long & Wood, 1995, Murray, 2005).
