Roberta Hill Whiteman
, 1947-

Oneida

Roberta Hill Whiteman grew up near Green Bay and Oneida, Wisconsin. Whiteman attended the University of Wisconsin and the University of Montana where she completed her M.F.A. degree in 1973. She has taught on the Oneida and Rosebud reservations and at the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire. Whiteman has read her poetry throughout the country and has been a Poet-in-the-Schools in several states.
