The play “Romeo and Juliet”, by William Shakespeare is famous for its romantic tragedy. It is about two young teenagers who are from enemy families. They end up falling in love with each other and eventually get married in secret. At this point, everything begins to crumble; Romeo kills Juliet’s cousin and gets banished from Verona. Juliet takes a potion to induce a coma upon herself to avoid to reunite with Romeo.
This creates complications for Romeo and Juliet’s relationship. Now Romeo and Juliet have to go to extraneous ways to not only see each other but cover up their marriage while Juliet feels trapped and is due to marry Paris. Both Romeo and Juliet face their fate when Juliet decides to fake her death to get out of marrying Paris. Friar Lawrence comes up with this incautious plan for Juliet to drink this potion that Friar claims will not kill her but will put her to sleep and make her seem as if she is dead. Juliet agrees to this plan with no hesitation, however, the plan starts to go wrong when Capulet wants Juliet to be married earlier than what was planned.

1. When I first began reading this piece of work I knew I was going to enjoy it! The reason for this was because it reminded me of Romeo and Juliet! I also realized that this story was told in the third person through an unknown person as the narrator. I also realized that towards the middle it got a bit confusing for me that sometimes I had to take a minute and go back to assure I understood everything.
What happens when a young lady’s course for true love doesn’t go as planned? In the play, A Midsummer’s Night Dream, by Shakespeare, Hermia, a young woman living in Athens, is first told by her father, Egeus, that she must marry a man she doesn’t love. Another thing that makes is so her course of true love doesn’t run so smooth is that her lover, Lysander, falls in love with her best friend while under a potion’s effect. These obstacles all change her relationships with people she knows, and impacted her greatly.
A main theme throughout this selected passage in a, “Midsummer's Night Dream,” is stupidity. This is because the Rude Mechanicals are ask if there should be a lion, or who is playing the moon? Snout, the dimwitted tinker, asked if the moon will shine, and show for their play. He doesn’t ask about using a candle, or pretending that there is a moon. Instead, he has a genius idea to cast a person to play the moon.
Through the predominant influences of certain characters, inconsistency of decision making, and secretiveness amongst the characters, these events quickly lead to the grievous incident of the play. All the way from past hatred and persuasive friends, to emotionally driven decisions such as Romeo’s desire to be married and his vengeance, the play concluded with potions that provoked counter outcomes. Romeo and Juliet displayed the risks they were willing to take in the name of love, but in the end, poor choices took responsibility for the continuous occurrences that lead to dreadful ends; however, opposed to the idea of fate, or a stronger force guiding the character’s actions. With this, the play closed with the poisonous idea of the love that Romeo and Juliet shared, including all that they would sacrifice to have a chance at a life
Various factors cause the lovers to run away together. Hermia and Lysander 's love causes them to leave Athens. While Egeus is trying to convince Hermia to marry Demetrius; Lysander objects, saying, "I am, my lord, as well deriv 'd as he, / As well possess 'd: My love is more than his . . . I am beloved of beauteous Hermia" (1.1.99-104).
This is what the lovers wanted at the beginning of the story; to marry the one they love. And with Theseus bringing final closure and order to what chaos occurred in the forest, the four lovers will get married along side Theseus and Hippolyta back at Athens. In the forest outside of Athens, chaos and order are present throughout the plot of A Midsummer Night’s Dream. In the forest, the fairies attempt to manipulate the love between the lovers and bring chaos upon them.
