, 20, 2016 The Lottery is an interesting book and here is why. Everybody is enthusiastic about a sacrifice. They are also happy to participate in the day. Some of the characters think it 's stupid not to do the lottery. Everybody is happy in this story except for the winner. Most of the characters in the story have one opinion. They all seem to enjoy the lottery. Mrs. Hutchinson said “Get up there, Bill,” and other people laughed at the idea that he could draw the paper. The young boys were playing and having fun, knowing that they could be killed that day. Mrs. Hutchinson arrived late, she told her friend that she almost forgot it was the day, and they laughed about it. Delacroix, Tesse’s friend, happily took off after Tesse to go kill her
