Gonzalez 1 The disturbing case of JohnBenet Ramsey, a little girl who did not deserve anything that happened to her. Despite the rumors and tales about the cold case of Ramsey, her story is truly terrifying. JohnBenet was a little girl who went missing in her home, and later was found in her basement. It is said she died of strangulation and skull fracture. In addition to those, many more things were done. This case went cold, and until this day, nobody knows the exact truth.

Police were called the following morning to report that their daughter had gone missing. Police found a ransom note demanding 118,000 dollars, this never came to a complete investigation. Later that afternoon Ramsey's body had been found under a blanket in the basement. The detectives didn't do such a good job with continuing this case. There are multiple theories to this case. Nobody knows exactly what is true and what is not. In 2006 John Mark Karr was arrested after confessing to the murder of Ramsey, however, fingerprints did not match samples that were found. The police that discovered the body of Ramsey later on spoke that the parents of the victim were suspicious and didn't seem to react how you would think. This led to a family theory that Patsy Ramsey, mother of the little girl, accidentally killed JonBenet in a fit of rage after a bed-wetting

JonBenét was known for her beautiful smile and success in beauty pageants, after following in her mother's footsteps in pageantry. This little girl’s sparkly, fun life took a turn on December 26th, 1996 when she was murdered in her home. Patsy Ramsey awoke around 5:30 am to begin her morning with coffee.
The Unsolved Murder of Jonbenét Ramsey On the morning of December 26, 1996, Jonbenét Ramsey, a 6-year-old beauty pageant queen, was pronounced kidnapped in an emergency 911 call. Later that day, Jonbenét Ramsey was found dead in her family’s home in Boulder, Colorado. The case was flourishing among the media, following every step of the case. Eventually, the story would expand within the entire United States.
JonBenet Ramsey was born on August 6th 1990, in Atlanta, Georgia to parents Patsy Ramsey and father John Ramsey, and a brother burke who was three years older than her. She attended kindergarten at High Peaks Elementary School in Boulder, Colorado. she was a child beauty pageant Queen from America who was killed in her family home at the age of 6 on December 25th 1996. her body was found in the basement 8 hours after she was reported to the police by patsy ramsy as missing. she was found with a broken skull from a hit to the head and was strangled to death with a rope that was found tied around her neck.
The JonBenet Ramsey case was a case that garnered nationwide attention. To still be unsolved to this day, shows for one, that the investigation was not conducted properly. Who could have killed the six year old beauty queen? Questions surrounding the case remain to this day, nearly 20 years after her death.
The death of Jonbenet became national news worldwide and so did the investigation. Lots of questions and assumptions were investigated but her killer was never found. The first notable mistake was the allowance of Ramsey family friends to enter the scene instead of clearing everyone from the crime scene as per common police protocol. Leading detective on the case Steve Thomas who wrote a book on the investigation and all other aspects of the case has been quoted as saying “Good police procedure would have been to empty the house immediately and take the inhabitants to the police station, post a patrol officer inside the front door, and allow entry only to authorized personnel. After completing my research, I was able to make a prediction of who I believed murdered the incent child, and it did not take much research to see the mistakes made by the Boulder Police Department. The Boulder Police Department made numerous mistakes in the JonBenet Ramsey case.
On December 26th, 1996, in Boulder County, Colorado, JonBenet Ramsey, age 6, was reported missing by her mother, Patsy Ramsey, at 5:52 AM. Patsy said that she found a ransom note and her daughter, JonBenet, was not in her bed. Police arrived at the crime scene at 6:10 AM. By the time they came the Ramseys already had friends and family cleaning their home. This may have been an attempt to comfort the family, but detectives say it could be why this case remains unsolved.
Based on the research of the twenty-year-old unsolved mystery of who killed six-year-old JonBenet Ramsey one or more persons in the Ramseys’ family committed the crime. JonBenet murder continues to grab headlines and troubling questions still arise in her murder. In addition, there have been accruing opinions and questions in response to which member of the Ramsey family murdered JonBenet. The parents had a wonderful Christmas with their families and friends, but the narrative becomes a mystery once they arrived at home that night. It was also said the police officers who arrived noted there was no signs of a break-in.
