In the story of The Tragedy of Romeo and Juliet, written by William Shakespeare, many good and bad things can happen from it. It starts with two families in a rivalry feud, and when two kids from each family fall in love it leads to many deaths. Though fate was a way the tragedy occured, that was not the only reason. There are lots of people who are a factor of the tragic deaths of the star crossed lovers, but one of them, Romeo, is to be blamed the most because of his impulsiveness, over-emotionality , and indecisiveness. One reason Romeo is to be blamed for this tragedy the most is that he is impulsive and doesn’t think through his actions. For example, when Romeo is in the town, he gets into a fight with Tybalt because they are both upset and says, the “fight will decide who dies” (Act 3, Scene i, 125-130). This means that whoever loses the fight will die. As a result of these events, Romeo ends up killing Tybalt, …show more content…

For example, when Romeo gets a guest list and sees his past lover Rosaline is invited, he isn’t sure if he should go because he doesn’t know if he wants to face her. His friends convince him to go and he says, “I’ll go with you. Not because I think you’ll show me anything better, but so I can see the woman I love.” (Act 1, Scene ii, 100-102). This shows that he decides to go to the party because of his friends. Also, as a result, at the party instead of seeing Rosaline he sees Juliet. Also, when he sees Juliet he thinks he has “never seen true beauty before tonight” (Act 1, Scene v, 49-50). This shows that he falls in love with Juliet but mainly because of looks, and then the whole tragedy occurs. Overall, he is very indecisive and bad at making
