Magnesium is a chemical element with the symbol “Mg”. Magnesium is a shiny gray solid. The atomic number is 12 and it’s atomic mass is 24.305. Joseph Black a Scottish physician and chemist recognized magnesium as an element in 1755 but it was isolated by Sir Humphry Davy in 1808 (Periodic Table). High magnesium can be found in foods including nuts, fish, beans, avocados, yogurt, bananas, dried fruit, dark chocolate, and more. In Magnesium there are 12 electrons, 12 neutrons, and 12 protons.
