One of the headlines in the news lately is about the Lyon sisters. This is a 40-year-old cold case. There are still a lot of unclear facts about the girl’s disappearance. It is still unclear what happened to the girls or where there remains are located or ashes where. The police searched the family’s home in Virginia but nothing was found either time. The poor Lyon family have never once given up on finding out what happened to their daughters. It takes a sick person to kidnap a child and to even think the poor babies may have been sexually assaulted. Lloyd Lee Welch has been the main suspect in the case. In February 2014, it was said that welch had indeed been seen at the mall paying close attention to the sister. In July 2015, Welch was indicted with first-degree felony murder of the Lyon sisters. Then he was also charged with abduction with the intent to defile. Lloyd lee Welch plead guilty to both counts of first degree murder of Shelia and Katherine Lyon back in 1975. There are still many questions as to why it has taken this long to charge him with murder. Why he could get away with it for this long. Forty years it way to long for anyone to have to wait to for answers or to finally get closure. My heart goes out to the Lyon family and those poor
